Today is fat Tues, I probably won't go crazy and eat a million points. Just not my style. :) I wonder if there will be a king cake at school today. I also wonder how I went to twelve years of catholic school and never even heard of a king cake til I moved here. Jack was asking me about king cake last night, he has heard of it. Maybe its more of a southern catholic thing if there is such a southern catholic thing.

I never heard of a King cake either until I moved down here. Also, Mardi Gras / Fat Tuesday is not a big deal up north. I'll never forget our first Fat Tuesday here. Chris dropped T off on the carpool line and said all the kids were decked out in beads and feather masks. Today KJ has on a t-shirt that says "French Quarter" and she is wearing a couple of beads.
Being a southern bell does have it's perks.....especially since in the bible belt being Catholic is not all that popular.....Happy Fat Tuesday!
