One More Day

We have one more day here in Peoria. I think I've gained 50 lbs here but its been worth every bite! We've had fun seeing old friends and hanging out with family. Tomorrow, everyone will be here to ring in the new year. yay! should be fun. Jayne and I are going over to Washington to a couple of antique shops. I love this one in particular and someday, I'm renting a uhaul and filling it up with fun pieces.

I'm looking forward to getting home just so I can be back on my regular schedule even though we've had a wonderful time. I'll have lots of fun pictures to put up on the blog.

Snow!

Hi. Well, Jack got one of his Christmas wishes. We got about 2 to 3" of snow yesterday. The kids had tons of fun playing outside. It is cold here but we're having a great time. Kate met up with her friend, Rachael and she went to the movies and then spent the night. Where ever she goes, there is a party.

Today we are going to visit Grandma Jo. I'm looking forward to seeing her. Its been a long time since she saw the kids. Tonight we are going to a friend's 50th bday party. I'm happy we are here to celebrate with him.

Isaiah 9:6

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Four Sisters

Merry Christmas!

Hello! Well, it's here, Chrismtas morning has arrived. We were up at 7 which really isn't too bad, that is late compared to years past. Everyone was happy with their gifts including Ralphie and Smokes. Rick bought me a full package to the spa in Patton Creek. I can't wait to use it! It includes, an hour massage, eyebrow shaping, manicure, pedi, and facial and lunch. Ahh!

We really enjoyed the teen mass last night. The music was wonderful and Fr. McDade always does such a nice job with his homilies. I even got to see George, he was in my class last year and I just love him. His mommy is having a baby in April and I'm so happy b/c they're such a wonderful family and we need more of them in the world.

Today, I'm going to gear up for our trip home. I have to clean my car out, whoa, it is bad news! I think I'll sort of collapse once I get to Peoria as I haven't had a moment to just be for a couple of weeks or maybe since Thanksgiving.

Merry Christmas!!

chrismtas eve!

hi. well, I was up at 6:15 and out the door by 6:45 to get kate from maddies. she was ready to go and we were at the galleria by 7. fun. we had a good time and got home around 11am. kate got a nap, i wrapped more gifts, vacuumed and started the laundry. we are all showered and ready for church. this year we are not going to the childrens mass as the boys are too old to be shepherds so we are going to the teen mass which is just down the hall. after church we are going to our neighbors for dinner. yummy. it isn't too cold out so thankfully we don't have to trudge around in our coats.now, that will be a different story in a couple of days when we are in the frozen tundra up north. buurrrrrr....

wrapped gifts!

Hello,

Well, I've pretty much finished wrapping gifts tonight. Kate and i are shopping early early tomorrow, the galleria opens at 7 so we'll be there at 7 and then we'll go to panera for a little bagel and coffee. yummy.

i'm off to bed. nighty night.

Christmas with the Leventrys

Hi. We had a nice time in Athens. We got in around 3ish yesterday and it was nice to just sort of hang out and visit. Ellen arrived albeit a little late but she made it safe and sound. We got up this morning and opened gifts which was fun. After breakfast we watched a little tv and then went on a really nice walk around the neighborhood which is lovely. For lunch, we ate at the Varsity which is absolutely wonderful yummy hotdogs and burgers that are soooo bad for you. kate and I opted for the grilled chicken. I didn't think the chilli dog would sit in my tummy too well on the way home. Here are some pictures from our stay.

Over The Hills

Over the hills and through the woods to grandmothers house we go. Yep, we are leaving this morning to go to Athens for our Christmas with the Leventrys. Joe has been there since Thurs. morning and I know he has had lots of fun. We've missed him though. ;(.

Yesterday was good. I fired some pieces in the kiln, I did 3 of the 6 plates the teachers did. I pulled them out this morning and they look great! I'm excited for the girls to see them. I did a little shopping before my hair apt. yesterday. The traffic was soooooooooooo bad! ugh! thank goodness for cell phones b/c sitting at the same light for 15 min. would be torture w/o talking to a friend. I bought a big scrap book at michaels yesterday so i can scrap all my christmas pics from last year and hopefully get this years done too while we drive to illinois. i hate that i didn't do them last year so i'm going to get them done! i got my hair highlighted yesterday. i even got to see my friend landon at the salon. we go to the same girl and she was having her hair colored and cut too. I enjoyed a lovely glass of wine while Landon and I processed. lol. I love my salon!

Well, thats about it. I did do my yoga this morning, ahh, I've missed it and my body is telling me so. It sure doesn' take long to get out of the mode.

We'll be back sometime tomorrow. Have a fab saturday!

Funky Friday!

Hello, I think today is gonig to be better than yesterday. At least the sun is shining which I love! Joe is having fun in Athens with the Leventrys and kate spent the night at maddie's, Rick is off being manly trying to kill an animal on his lease and Jack and Ral are in my bed snoozing. I'm pretty much caught up on laundry which makes me happy, I pulled two pieces from the kiln a little bit ago and they're awesome! They're gifts and I'm bringing them home with me to Peoria. I'm firing 3 of the 6 plates for the quest teachers right now. The kiln is still warm from last night so hopefully it won't take as long as usual. I have some last min. purchases to pick up, I'm also going to Homewood to get my hair done. Hmmm, I might just have to pop into a couple of my fav. shops. I love homewood! Hopefully, I can get out and walk today, I have neighborhood Christmas cards to deliver so that will get out there. i'm mailing the last of my local ones today and that is all. I love sending and receiving cards. So fun! We are off to Athens tomorrow. Never a dull moment around here. Have a good Friday.

Weird Day

Well, today was a little strange. The kids were really good at school which was nice but the rain started around 11:30 of course we were outside playing. bummer. Seriously, you'd think it could have waited another 30 min. Anyway, all of my children were so sweet and they all gave me wonderful gifts which of course i so love! I was definitely paying for my late night last night. i didn't get into bed until 11:30 which is late for me and then I had to get up at 6 to get some things done. By 1pm I was tired and with the rain, I wasn't in the mood to do anything so I came home and crawled in bed which is almost unheard of for me. Ral was still up there b/c that is where he stays when we're all gone for the morning, kate and maddie were getting ready to go to Maddie's and thankfully Terry came and picked them up. I slept for 2 hours. It was wonderful. The weather turned really strange around 4:30. The sky turned all weird and yellow, Jack came home from a friends house and he was scared it was going to tornado, to top it off, the power was out. Jack and I sat on the couch and said a little prayer, then we went down to Rick's office with a candle. I got bored and lit all the candles up stairs, the dining room looked so pretty. of course, I knew once i got all of the candles lit, the power would come back on which it did. Now, I can finish firing my pieces in my kiln and cook dinner. yeah me! lol

Not sure what i'm doing tomorrow, oh yes, i'm getting my hair highlighted. ahh, that will be fun. other than that, i'll be finishing loose ends, buying those last min. gifts and trying not to eat! ugh, just call me fatty leventry. I haven't turned down one beverage, one cookie, one chocolate covered pretzle, one triscuit, nothing! make it stop!

Last Day of Playschool!

Today is our last day of playschool for the year! I don't have much planned for today, I think we're just going to open the door to the other two's room and play all day long! yea! I went to Laura's last night and it was lots of fun visiting with old and new friends. Kate and Maddie had a good time with their friends, Joe and Sam are adorable and Jack spent the night at Seth's. Joe is headed to Athens this morning to spend a couple of one on one time with Grandma and Grandpa Leventry. I'm looking forward to getting home from work and getting things organized for the weekend. I still have several things to fire in the kiln.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Hi. Okay, It looks like I'm going to make it through this week. First of all, want to tell you about this pottery party I did last night. It as at one of Joe's teachers house, they just moved in and it is so beautiful. It has an elevator in it! How fun, I know. Anyway, I loved doing the party and I told Rick I want a house like that. lol

this morning I had my annual dr. exam. joy joy, I know. My dr. is very sweet and everything looks good. I'm not a money maker for ob/gyn's anymore, just in and out.

I just remembered a few min. ago that I have a party to go to tonight. yeah! Laura whom, I work with is having a little ornament cookie get together. love that. :)

Kids are out of school til '08, boys are playing football in the front yard and kate is getting ready to go somewhere but i told her i'm not driving both ways! i have plans.:)

Its another burries type morning but hopefully it'll warm up.

Anyway, I'm going to get ready for school. Have a terrific Tuesday!

Waiting for Wings

Hi. Okay, this is the last angel painting for awhile. I actually needed something above our bed and I thought this would be really pretty with the mantel. Anyway, Wanted to share it with you.

Jack's party

Good Party

The party was really great. Jack's class this year is really nice. They seem to all get along which is so nice. I also love that it was a breakfast. There weren't any crafts, just eating and visiting, it was really fun. I also love that it was so early! I'm home and I've run several errands and its only noon. That is awesome. I made it to the art store and bought my supplies. I also made it to the post office and I was going to go to Walgreens but people are really not paying attention while they're driving. Several times today, people cut me off to turn and then one guy was on his phone and he wasn't paying attention to the light and we missed the turn arrow. Ugh! Its like people are going one place and then at the last second decide oh wait, I want to go over there too. I just came home. I will put the pictures on later. I think I have to charge my battery.

Party Day!

I'm leaving in a min. to go to Jack's Christmas breakfast party. I love that they're doing a breakfast, that insures the kids eat something yummy and they'll be good to go for the day. Good thinking Mrs. Summerlin. :) After the party I'm headed to the art store to buy some glazing supplies. I always love going to the art store, I could spend hours in there! Sort of like mom and the fabric store. Kate is in the midst of exams, Joe is just ready to be out of school. He said he couldn't go today b/c his eyes hurt. what in the world? He is such the baby! This is a busy week but I've decided to just tackle it in block sections. I'm not going to look too far ahead otherwise I just get overwhelmed. I'll bring my camera to jack's party for pictures.

Sunday

Hi. Well, its here, the cold burries weather is here. Blah! I keep telling people that its okay that its been 75 degrees, it is not necessary for the temp. to be freezing to feel the Christmas spirit. Anyway, its here, its cold out and windy and gloomy. yuck! I just checked the drudge report and I think we're better off than people in Chicago and out east. Lots of snow and ice and nastiness going on out there.

Last night we went to a get together with Rick's team. They're all such nice people and we had a wonderful time. I love it when we can go to a party and be home in bed asleep by 11:15pm. lol. kate babysat last night and her people came home early which was nice for her. all the kids are still sleeping. Jack has two birthday parties today. I'm just going to be doing the same old stuff i always do around here. This week coming up is going to be crazy busy! Should be fun though. Have a great day!

Friday

Hi. Today was a crazy day. I was up and out of the house early for breakfast with Santa. It is really hard for me to get out the door dressed and ready to go by 7:30. I still have puffy eyes and morning breath. ugh! Anyway, I made it there fifteen min. late but i still made it. Breakfast with Santa went smoothly and then we were off to Fireballs, I mean Firebirds for lunch only to have them tell us they couldn't accommodate our group so we went to Up the Creek. We had a wonderful lunch. Here is a picture of me and Susan and Laura at Breakfast with Santa. Thanks Valerie for taking pictures. :)

Crazy Day!

Hi. Today was crazy at preschool. The kids were just wild! I tried reading a couple of stories during cirlce time and they were having no part of it so we ended up putting the music on and danced. They were full of energy. Our outside play time was cut short due to bogus rain. Seriously, it could have stayed away until after lunch. Sooo, we had to go inside and play which made for lots of picking up to do before lunch. Oh well, whatever. Tomorrow is breakfast with santa so it'll be fun to see my kids with their parents outside of our class room. Tonight, Rick and I are going to dinner. I was trying not to eat very much so I can eat tonight but I was becoming a little sleepy so I had to eat something. Anyway, it will be nice to go out with out kids, its been awhile. Okay, Okay, I know I've been a little manic with the angels but I love painting them. they're so fun. There are several artists here in B'ham that paint mainly angels. I love them, they're so beautiful. I love this one, but I did get a little carried away with her wings. I was trying to make them the same size but they just got bigger. Oh well. I should take a note from the way God created us, we are not symmetrical, one side is usally bigger than the other, its okay. One last thing before I go. My neighbors house sold and they have movers there today. I was outside with Ralph and I heard this really deep loud voice yell and I could have sworn it was Rocky. I mean it was very much like "YO Adrien". I didn't know people really talked like that but they do. I noticed the liscense plates on the semi said New Jersey, and they moved to New York. I know, i'm a little sheltered but I just stopped and listened to him yell at one of the guys. I wanted to go look at him and ask him how he learned to talk like that?

thursday morning

Hi. I have a min. before I have to get ready for preschool. We have a lot to do to get ready for Christmas, finish parents gifts and finish the t shirts for tomorrows breakfast with santa which reminds me we have to be at school very early. it'll be fun though b/c after we get all cleaned up at school we get to go to lunch and exchange our secret santa gifts. fun! i'm excited for my person to open their gift. anyway, Thats about it. its gloomy here. :( boo hoo. i'm just so much of a sun person, i need it! Have a good day.

Okay Girls! Found this on aol.

While American women see super-thin stick models and feel unattractive and unhappy about their average or curvy bodies, men don't feel the same way. Fully 80 percent of men ages 18 to 50 say they want a voluptuous woman, according to former plus size model Nancy Hayssen, who has written a book every woman could love based on the title alone: "101 Sexy Secrets: How to Be Hot, Sexy & Beautiful at ANY Size!" Another 15 percent of men prefer a woman of average size, while just 5 percent opt for a super skinny lady

And so it begins.

Well, Jack has taken a page out of Kate's book and his social life is starting to take off. He asked me last night if he could go to the movie on Sunday with several friends. This is about 5 mo earlier than when Kate asked me. Of course when Kate asked me, i was freaking out, I text Jayne and asked her if I should let her go. I guess it is easier being the 2nd child. I'm not as freaked out about it. So funny, that he is getting to that age where he'll want to be with his friends all the time. At least a bunch of his buddies live out here so we can car pool.

Hi. Well today, I've actually been very productive. I've cleaned bathrooms, cleaned my floors and even made a huge dent in the laundry. I've also cleaned my office which was in bad shape. I did find some time today to paint a christmas angel for my family room. i might even keep her up all year as i have a lot of red in my house as an accent color. i told you, once the creative bug bites, i never know what will happen. lol. anyway, i'm off to work out. ttyl

Old Window

This is the old window I found yesterday. well, i painted this tree on it last night and it looks so cool but i'm not sure i'm going to keep the tree on there. i might take it off and start over. anyway, it was fun and it looks neat in the living room!
Hi Everyone. Wow, today has flown! We were all up and out of the house early. I took the kids car pool b/c I had to take fruit for the breakfast on Kate's hall. I have to say, my fruit tray looked yummy. Publix has clementines for 3.99. they are the perfect size. Anyway, I put bananas, small granny smith apples and clementines on there, it looked as good as a continental breafast at the Ritz. lol, I don't think the Ritz does contintental breakfast but they might. Anyway, After I ran into Bumpus, I went to preschool early. Sometimes its just nice to get there and visit with people, of course, you'd think I'd have my room all ready to go by the time Trisha openend the door but no, i was still running around. My kids were all good today, we did an angel craft and played outside. It was like summer here. I think its going to cool off by mid week, which is fine, we really need it to be cooler so we can get into the bustle of Christmas. Now, all the snow and ice is more than welcome to stay north of us, that is fine with me. So as you can see from my recent pictures, I've been in a crazy creative mode. I never know when a creative mode will hit but when it does, watch out b/c walls get painted, furniture changes, pillows are made, pottery is painted and painted and painted! Its actually quite amusing. Anyway, I really need to focus on the laundry b/c i'm not getting very far on it and soon, someone is going to run out clothes. Sooo, I've turned the air conditioning back on, I realize this sentence should be up there in the part of the posting on how warm it is but I just thought about it. I had to turn it on last night b/c I was hot and then I was getting restless leg syndrome and I was freaking out a little bit so I turned it on hopefully for the last night this season. It'll be back on again March 1 or the rate we're going in January. Okay, I'm outta here. Have a great night! Karyn, seriously, you really need to update and Jayne, you're over a month behind. ;) Oh and karyn, I saw the pictures on Abbies blog, do not lose 5 more lbs! Tanny

New Art for the bedroom

Hi. I found this awesome frame at one of the shops in cahaba heights. I thought it would look neat in our bedroom, I painted the angel this afternoon, I love her! Also, This is our new/old mantle that we bought for our bedroom this weekend. I'm still having fun finding things to go by it and such but you get the idea.:)
Hello Friends and Family,

Well, we are having a very warm late fall day. It is going to be in the high 70s. The sun is shining too which I love. I sort of compare this type of day to snow in late May in the midwest. Of course, when that happened it just made me mad. Anyway, we had a nice weekend, busy but nice. Joe did go to his first reconciliation. It was a nice service, short and sweet in Father Fallen fashion. Love that! After reconciliation, I dropped Kate off at a friends, then I met Rick and the boys at Bob's wings for dinner. We always pop into the pet store by Wings and they had the most adorable Persian kittens, OMG, They were darling! The boys and I almost talked Rick into getting one then I thought that once this kitten grows up, its going to drive me crazy and claw on my furniture, probably not in the same place Smokes has already clawed. We didn't get one and I'm happy but they were precious. The Leventrys, definitely contributed heavily to the local economy this weekend. I think we are pretty much finished with our shopping. There are always a few things we need to pick up but as far as our kids go, they're done! Today, I'm going to putts around the house, I might just have to run over to Cahaba heights to a couple of fun antique stores just to see what they have. This week is Christmas party week. Kate has dance team party, I have the preschool lunch and Sat. is a get together with Rick's team. Should be fun!

Saturday, December 8, 2007

Hi.

Well, its a gloomy Saturday here. :( It isn't cold though. I think its going to be in the 70s all weekend which of course I love! you know, I read the other day that the reason flu season is mainly in the winter because the virus is spread through the air and it loves the cool dry air that winter brings. So that is why we don't see the flu in the summer months even though it is still around, what happens is the droplets get caught up in the moist summer air and they become heavy and drop to the ground before they can be sucked into our noses. One more thing, the tropics hardly ever see cases of the flu b/c of the humidty there, I think that means Rick and I should for sure buy Kenny Chesney's house on St. Johns Island and retire. :) Maybe he's lowered the price from 9million to 400,000 lol.

Okay, seriously, today, we have reconciliation for Joe. Here is a big shocker he already told me he isn't going. Why is he such a hater? He doesn't like doing anything. Doesn't he know that he'll feel so refreshed and wonderful after confessing all of his sins? Ugh! Well, he is going, I even told him we'd go to dinner afterwards. He said he didn't care about that. Now, Jack on the other hand could definitely be bribed with dinner. Reconciliation is at a random time, 3:30pm but it'll work b/c we can just go to mass afterwards and then we can sleep in tomorrow. :) love that.

Rick took a nine pointer this morning from his lease. He has definitely had a successful season this year. He dontated the venison to homeless charity. Good boy.

Now, I need to stop him from shopping. He is out of control. This is why God has not given him a huge wind fall of money b/c he will spend all of it on three colors, green, brown and darker brown. I just ask why? I found a wonderful fun primitive bench yesterday, keep in mine I've only been looking for 2 years to fill a space along the basement hallway. It was 60.00 and Rick was like, seriously, you spent 60.00 on that? This is what I live with here.

Kate is still sleeping. She went to a party last night and I had the pleasure of picking up and taking another friend home. You know, I think its good to be the driver b/c you really learn all sorts of things in route to friends houses.

Today, I'm hoping to wrap some gifts and maybe even do a little shopping.

Have a great day!

Friday, December 7, 2007

Hi!

It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year! Can you tell I've already been shopping this moring? I love shopping on line, in my sweats with my yummy coffee and my magic 96.5 all day Chrismtas music singing through my computer speakers. Ahh, shopping in the 21st century, gotta love it! Anyway, I just made my first purchase from Etsy.com Fun. I can't say what I bought b/c the person I bought it for will probably read this blog so I'm keeping secret about it but its pretty much a perfect gift for them.

Joe was supposed to wear his egyptian costume to school this morning but there was no way he was getting on the bus with it on. Kate asked to go car pool which I nicely responded no and she didn't complain too much. Rick is hunting this morning he is excited b/c he has seen several bucks the past couple of days. Like we really need another deer! It is nice that he donates it to the homeless. Speaking of the homeless, I'm taking Kate and a friend downtown on Sunday so we can serve lunch to the homeless. Tomorrow is Joe's reconciliation.

Today, I'm doing some shopping and cleaning around the house. Love shopping!

Have a great day

Way Behind!

Okay, Shortys and Mybogusblog, and babapaul burns, you're all way lame on your posting! Get with the program. Okay, Jayne you have an out as you're at training! Get blogging people!

Play

Okay, even though we really wanted to ditch the play tonight, we didn't. I did ask Joe's teacher why in the world we have to have these things! Can you tell he's the baby of the family? Man, if it were Kate, we would would have been there early! lol. Anyway, it was a cute play and the kids did a good job. Joe was pretty much over it but he did sing and dance and did as he was told. Here are some picturs. As you'll clearly see from the pictures, if there was a best costume contest, we were not any where near first place but really, who cares?

thursday

Hi.

Had a good day at preschool. I love this time of year, We're so busy doing fun crafts and bustling around. The 4 hours goes so fast! Fun. Blood work came back for Kate and she is 100% fine. Soooo, I guess she'll need to take her viatmins and maybe slow down a little so her body can rest. Maybe she is growing, who knows.

Okay, here is a little Ralph ramble. Our precious little Ralph seems to think he is a tea cup shih tzu. He weighs almost 14lbs but he thinks he is like a yorkie and weighs 4lbs. He is a lap dog, yes that is true when I'm sitting on the sofa or in a comfy chair but he seems to think that when I'm on the computer he should be sitting on my lap. Oh Who da Ral~
h
Joe has his little program tonight at 6, he totally doesn't want to go and neither do we but I think he should be there in his very homemade Egyptian costume. I'll be sure to take pictures.

Slyder the Elf

Okay, for those of you that don't know about our elf situation here it is. The kids ask for these elves from santa and then santa brings them. The elves are bad and do all kinds of rotten things. Joe got an elf last year, his name is Buddy. Buddy has been rather quiet and Joe loves him. Jack wrote santa a letter a few days ago and asked for an elf and Santa brought him Slyder. Jack named him though,I think his name is pretty cool. Anyway, the kids have been dying for the elves to do something around the house. Soooo, I was in the basement today cleaning and Slyder was down there sitting in the video game chair. I thought it would be cute if Slyder played guitar hero so I set it up and then turned on the tv, I am so not into xbox so I couldn't figure it out but Jack's highlights from football was in the dvd so it looked like Slyder was watching tv with an empty capri sun next to him. When the kids got home, I asked if they had left the tv on and pretended to be mad about it. We went down stairs and Joe was so excited! he couldn't believe that slyder was watching the tv. so funny! Also, Joe noticed the basement was cleaner and he asked if I cleaned it. I said no way, it must have been slyder. Our elves are good elves, they clean before they are bad. lol here are some pictures of the kids a few min. ago.

Hi.

Hi. Well, it is a beautiful day here. It was really chilly this moring but it has warmed up nicely, I think December in Hoover is defnitely the way to go. No problems getting out and shopping thats for sure. I didn't shop today though just did things around the house. I actually have on capri's with a black tank top and a sweater. Strange. I love it though.

Hi.

Can I just say that I think exercise is one of the greatest gifts God has given us and it's pretty much free! I really didn't want to do my little work out this morning but I made myself hop on the elliptical and do my arm weights and then 20 ,min of yoga stretching. I feel so much better. Maybe tonight the sunset won't seem so sad. I read in prevention mag that its good to do several small work outs through out the day if you have time. Even though, I had almost an hour today, I might take Ral for a walk later. He only walks a mile but it might be good to get fresh air too.
Hi. Well, Kate and I are off to the ortho in a min. maybe today she'll get her braces off. It would be great if she gets them off today but she knows it might be January so she isn't getting her hopes up. I'm going to hang around the house today. I need to get some yoga in, its been awhile since I've been able to do a session and I miss it!

Last night I was outside with Ralph and it was around 5ish, the sun was setting and I just think there is something sad and lonely about a December sunset. It is so far away. It seems a summer sunset is right there among everyone engulfing everything and it last forever! Last nights sunset was beautiful, it just made me think that winter sunsets are sad, and lonely. Ugh! I hate winter. :(

A Good Day.

Hi. I had a good day at preschool today. It seems the playschool hall is a buzz with Christmas spirit. The children were running around my room singing jingle bells and rudolph the red nosed reindeer. It was sweet and it did warm up nicely so we were able to play outside. I did however run into a little snag this morning as I was trying to start my car. I''ve known the battery was on the way out the door so it wasn't a huge surpise when it didn't turn over this morning. Thankfully, we have the handy dandy huge dodge white with with camo accents 4x4. Oh yea, I got to drive the compensator to work today. It had plenty of gas in it and I got several looks from guys in trucks as I was going down southshades crest. Anyway, I was happy that I didn't have an issue with getting to preschool on time this morning. Rick is going to change my battery in the suburban today. I think he was worried that I'd love driving the truck so much that I'd take it over but no thanks, it is really and truly a truck and I prefer my cushy, suburban with the booty warmers and nice drive.

Hi. I love posting pictures of summer b/c we all have that nice summer glow. I dreamed last night about PCB and the Palmetto. So funny. I swear, my mind is usually at the beach. Rick and I must retire there some day, one problem though, Rick doesn't love the beach like me. Hmm. 6 mo in the woods and 6 mo at the beach. that might work. Anyway, love this pic of K and J.:)

Hi

Hello,

It's very burracious here! Lots of white frost on the ground, thankfully we live in a wonderful place that doesn't allow it to stay so cold for long so hopefully by 11am I'll be able to take my precious two year olds outside to run and play. :) Anyway, I went to bed very early last night, like 7. I know, that is even earlier than usual but I really didn't feel good, I could feel a cold coming on so I decided it was just better to succumb to it and try and nip it in the bud. I am feeling much better today! Kate is staying home today. I think she really had one of the worst days of her young life yesterday. Nothing went right and she is just exhausted. She came home from the game and went straight to bed. I'm letting her stay home today and sleep. Poor thing, I hope she is better soon. I hate it when she is not herself. :( Thats about it. Not much else is going on. Jack and Joe got on the bus great so they're off to school. Joe has a play on Thurs. I am a little bit over the evening plays for quest. I have to whip up some egyptian type costume for him. Last year her was a tomato, do you remember the pictures I sent from that night, he looked less than thrilled. Anyway, we'll be there with bells on so I better get creating a costume. Today, in preschool, we're ;making snowmen and santa hats and talking about Jesus' birthday. I always try to get in the religious part of Christmas. Have a great day!

Manic Monday

Hi. I'm finally sitting down to write. Didn't do much yesterday, just the same old same old. Went to church in the morning, came home did laundry and cleaned, painted some pottery, walked a couple of miles, ate dinner and went to bed. This morning, I took Kate to the dr. as she just hasn't felt good for some time. Thankfully, her blood count is fine so we've ruled out scary things like luekemia, and lymphoma. They did take lots of blood and they're testing for mono and some other things. We'll see. Hopefully, we'll find out soon so she can feel better.Rick and I just got home from a walk. I really didn't want to go but he did a good job in getting me out the door. Its nice to have gotten my walk out of the way. Hope everyone is doing great!

Okay, You know me, I'm a little whacky but I had this idea to create some art for the basement and since its mostly a kids room and they watch movies down there i thought it would be fun to do something on canvas with all the novelty movie candy sooo, here it is.. Yummy! I'm addicted to decoupaging! lol
