We went to the pool today. It was a hot one! The boys had fun and I enjoyed finishing my book. Kate ended up joining us around 4pm. I love it when she texts me and asks if there are any cute boys there? lol.

Not much else is going on. two weeks from this moment, I will be enjoying the beach! yay! Can hardly wait.

Hello. Here is a new concept in our house. It's Sat. It's very quiet, boys are sleeping, Kate is actually coming home before noon and we HAVE NOTHING TO DO TODAY EXCEPT PLAY! I'm so happy. We had a good day yesterday. Kate went to the pool with her friends, I took the boys to the library and signed them up for summer reading. Yes we are going to actually do it this year! We have to. Jack has 3 novels to read for 6th grade and Joe has to read too for practice. I got some new books as well and returned my late ones. I know the library secrectly loves me b/c I always owe them money. After the library, the boys and i went to the pool for a couple of hours and hung out with friends there. I love that our new pool has so many people we know. Kate called while we were there and askesd if there were any cute boys at our pool. lol. Last night Kate had 20 of her closest friends over for a get together. ( i say that tonuge in cheek, how do you actually have 20 close friends lol). However, I didn't hear of any drama so that is always a good thing. They are all good kids and we don't mind having them here for the evening. It is a beautiful day today and we can just hang out!

Okay, the problem with getting up at 6:30am is that by 10:30, I'm hungry for lunch and ready for a nap. lol. I don't like going to the pool until the afternoon so maybe I will clean the bathrooms. ugh! this is getting scary.

Well, I've actually started my morning off in a great way! I just finished my walk and I've started laundry and it feels great to start Friday off on the right foot. It is sunny right now, so hopefully, it will stay that way the whole day! I think we will go to the library today and then to the pool. I ordered all three of Jack's mandatory reading books off amazon last night. I need to get kate's too. I'm sure I'll check in later.

Hi. Okay, so it is still cloudy and rainy. Blah! I'm a little bit over it. At least I'm really going through a lot of junk and organizing. Rick is picking up the new tv tonight so we will move the tv armoire out of the bedroom and into the family. I think i'm going to move my shabby chic book case from the bedroom into the bathroom. I have some cute baskets that are fun on the shelves. It is a good feeling moving things around and going through stuff. Now, I really need the sun to come out other wise I might go crazy!

Hi everyone. Today is rainy and cloudy and definitely not a pretty summer day. Oh well, I'm over it. I actually cleaned my laundry room and threw away sooooo much junk! I pulled some weeds in my garden, it still looks bad. We did order our new bedroom furniture! Yay! Rick and I are actually both really excited about it. We've never had a really grown up bedroom set and I guess its about time! So, I'm getting ready to go through our tv armoire and clean it out. We are moving that into the family room where Kate's white primitve dresser is. Kate's antique repoduction will be moved into the kitchen and we will move the little blk/pine cabinet thing somewhere else. I have no idea where. How fun to get real furniture. Here is a picture of our set. It will be here in a couple of weeks. :) We didn't get the mirror b/c we are going to put a flat screen on the wall and we didn't get the armoire, instead we bought the chest of drawers.

Hi. Okay, so today has been a good day. I worked on my cross order today, mailed crosses to my sister, went to wal mart and bought a new car charger for my phone. I took the boys to the pool and we were there maybe, a half an hour and they had to close the pool for an hour and a half b/c they needed to work on the chemicals. Soooo, I packed everyone up and came back home. I'm happy that we only live about 2 miles from the pool, that makes for easy comings and goings. I really need to get my booty outside and walk but I'm really procrastinating and not doing it. I'm going to though! I hope all of your pools didn't have to close today. :(

Hello. Okay, so we are OFFICIALLY on summer break! I'm soooo glad our whacky week is over. Last week was one of the busiest weeks in my recent memory. I was exhausted come Sunday. We had a lot of fun at the lake with Randy and Donna. It was a beautiful day and the boys loved the jet ski and the boat and all the swimming. I enjoyed doing nothing! Of course Ralph went too and he loved hanging out with Mac and Ben. Joe ended up staying again last night with Randy and Donna. He was so funny, he loves the lake! Now, the boys are saying we need a lake house and a boat and blah blah blah. I don't really think I need another house to take care of. Kate had fun at Lay Lake. She got home last night around 5:30 and said she was sooo tired. Well about 20 min. after that, she was on the phone making more plans for last night. I took her to Maggie's to spend the night. Rick was in Atlanta, Joe was at the lake, Jack was up the street and Kate was at Maggie's. It was just me, here at home! Me and Ral. It was so quiet, the house stayed clean and I have to say it was soo nice. Today, I have errands to run. I think we are going to go to the pool this afternoon. yippee! Love Summer. :)

Hi. We area off to the lake this morning. Our neighbors have a house there so we are going to hang out with them today. Kate is at another lake with her friend/family. I hope it doesn't rain today. :( I am really really looking forward to Tues when we can just get into our summer mode! I feel like all I've done is go go go go go! Kate's recital was nice. It was nice seeing the costumes and dances and I loved sitting with Valerie and Chris. Joe was really good!

Hello everyone! Okay so our week is starting to wind down, thank goodness. Kate, Myself and Joe are leaving soon for Kate's dance recital and then after that I'm taking Kate to one of her friends, lake house. It is hot and humid outside and a perfect day to be at the lake! Anyway, I'm very ready for next week to be here so we will officially be on summer break! I have to say that May has been one of the busiest months of my life. Its been crazy.

Hi. Well, we are on summer mode but I'm not really saying that totally and completely until the dance recital is over! Just looked at our rehearsal schedule and of course kate's time she has to be down town is 6pm. ugh! annoying. Rick is taking the boys to the Alabama, Kentucky baseball game, the SEC tournament is right in our back yard and I wanted to go. Anyway, maybe Alabama will win and I can see them play again. Whatever. At least the recital is in the afternoon. Having it on memorial day weekend is sort of complicated for a lot of people. Rick is back home. He had a busy week in Atlanta and now he is balancing the check book. Next year, I will go to the meetings and he can stay here and handle the last week of school activites and then he will know where all the money went. I serioulsy just kept passing money out to people. money for teachers gifts, money for dinner, movies, graduation clothes, awards ceremony dresses, shoes, gas to get us to all the activities. anyway after tomorrow afternoon, things will calm down for a couple of weeks and that is a good thing! have a great friday.

Thursday evening, is proving to be very quiet and relaxing. We all went to jack's baseball team party. It was fun and yummy and nice to see Rick. He took the boys to the Indiana Jones movie and Kate went to the movie with friends and I came home to fire crosses, do yoga and fold laundry. I've done everything but fold laundry. I know, you're totally shocked! I'm actually worn out! I didn't sleep well all week long and i really want to just jump in the shower and then crawl in bed with my book. :) It turned out to be a hot day today which I love. I'm trying to get everything finished around the house so we can go to the pool and i won't feel like I've left the house a crazy mess. I hate that feeling! I can enjoy hanging out in the sunshine when I know things are all good at home. Our pool opens on Sat. It is opening several days late b/c they were resurfacing the pool. Anyway, Kate has her dance recital this weekend. None of us want to go. She is not doing the recital next year! She loves dance for the exercise but the whole recital thing just isn't her style. We have to be down town tomorrow for the rehearsal and then again on Sat. ugh! Yuck. Valerie, how are you tackling this? Will i see you there?

Well, we've almost made it through our totally whacky week! Jack's graduation was precious. I love how our school lines all the children k-4 in the halls and as the 5th graders make their way down to the cafeteria with their classes, all the younger children clap for them. It is really sweet and a total tear jerker. Jack was excited about his day, he looked so nice in his new clothes and I think he even liked his new shoes, how nice to see him in something other than tennis shoes. Another sweet thing at the graduation was all the younger siblings, and there are a bunch of them sat up front on the floor for the ceremony. It was all so sweet. The speaker for the ceremony was Jack's teacher's brother. He was in Iraq two times and truly loved being there and helping others and serving our country. The second time he was there, his jeep was hit by a road side bomb and he lost his left leg and arm. He told the kids instead of acting big, be big. I thought that was really a nice and simple but challenging thing to tell the kids, hopefully they'll make good decisions in the future and remember what Lt. Galloway said at their graduation. The pool party was great! All the kids were so good and the day was beautiful. Jack had a wonderful time. I enjoyed visiting with a lot of the moms and Jack's teacher. I brought two friends back with me b/c their moms had conflicts and I didn't mind having them here with us. Jack went to the movies last night with two different friends and this was the first time, the girls met them there. haha. Seriously, i think kate gave me at least a day to breath before she asked to go to the movies. Anyway, kate, joe and i went shopping and then to dinner and then we went back to the rave to pick up the boys. It was fun to listen to the silly boys talk about their evening. I finally had to go down to the basement at 1am to tell the boys to go to sleep. they were still going strong. joe slept in my bed even though he really wanted to hang with the big boys. Kate is off to school this morning. she gets out at 11 and i think the 8th graders are watching a dvd type slide show of their year. After today, i'll have three children at three different schools. i love that their all fairly close to each other!

Hi! Wow, what a busy day. Today was my last day of preschool and it was Kate's 8th grade awards ceremony which by the way was soooooooooo long. I'm glad I went though b/c she ended up with several awards, two she didn't know she was getting. She sort of knew she might get one from the computer teacher but she definitely didn't know she was getting one from her reading teacher who by the way was really hard on her all year. Kate would always say that the teacher hated her but I knew she didn't. Anyway, it was all good. Here are some pictures from our day. One ceremony down, one to go. Jack's graduation ceremony is tomorrow. :)

Hi! Okay, I was just shopping on potterybarn teen and came across this really cool bed which i think is for boys i'm not sure though. anyway, what parent would actually purchase this for a teenager. it is hard enough getting them out of bed, i can't imagine if they had this set up!

Hi, Happy Monday! This is our last week of everything at least for a little while! Tomorrow is awards day at kate's school, & my last day at preschool, Wed. is Jack's graduation and last day, Thurs is the last day and Jack's baseball party, not sure what is on Friday but it might be the dance rehearsal, Sat. is the SEC baseball tournamnet and the dance recital is in there somewhere. Ugh! Seriously. Its all good though.

Kate and I shopped yesterday for a dress for tomorrow. We found a cute one at Francesca's and then we headed over to the othe mall to do some more shopping. I have to say, Belk is actually really nice. I think they've done a great job with their merchandise and Kate was impressed with their juniors dept. I found new top siders and an oxford for Jack and he got new shorts for his graduation.

I got my walk in yesterday. I think we have 3 weeks til the beach so now its crunch time. ha! Anyway, thats about it. i'll take lots of pictures this week so you can see all the fun festivities. :)

Hi! What a great Saturday. It is just so pretty outside, I hate to see the day come to an end. Park day was fine, not as many people as they had hoped b/c it had to be rescheduled do to rain. Some leagues are finished already. Anyway, I saw some friends and visited for a bit and then I had to get my booty home to start laundry and clean floors. Kate is at a friends house and jack just went up the street to spend the night at a friends. Joe is trying to find a friend to spend the night. lol. I hope you've all had a wonderful Sat!

Hi! Beautiful day today, awesome day for park day! I'm getting ready to head up to the ball park to work the jumpy thing for an hour. I have the first shift so it might not be too busy but looking outside, i'm thinking people might be out early. It is still cool but so pretty. Rick is taking my car in for an oil change. it is over due and really needs it. If i'm going to drive that beast for the next 5 years, it needs to get its booty in there. I have a lot to do at home today, so I doubt I'll stay at the park all day. We'll see though. Its always fun watching the kids championship games! Have a great Saturday.

Hi family and friends! I had a really fun day. My hair apt. was fun. I love seeing Alicia. She is doing so great and she is sooo happy. I've known here almost 5 years. I can't even believe that. Anyway, I got about an inch cut off and she sort of thinned it out a little bit and I got some fun Heidi Klum type bangs. They are really cute and will be a total pain in the booty to keep looking good but for now, they're fun. My hair has that "I just got it cut" sort of feeling. I don't really like that but in a few days, it'll be great. I'm going in to the salon right before the beach for some chunky low light type things just to get me through the summer and I should be set until early Sept. :) I met some friends for lunch this afternooon. I always love hearing their stories and sharing mine. Oh and before lunch, I went shopping and spent my gift card. Ha, you don't have to tell me twice what to do with a gc! I found a really fun bag which was on sale. I just can't stomach the prices of the designer bags. i love them, I love all of them but I just can't. sooo, I found this really fun nine west bag and then i went to a fun store called swoozies. i love this shop! it has stationery, pottery, and lots of other fun things. I really popped in there for wrapping paper but ended up buying a fun front porch door mat that is a preppy pink and green and says "welcome y'all". ha, i love it! its' great for summer and it looks great with my pink impatients on the front porch. ;) Tonight we went to the spring football game. haha, i know, i know, it is really not football season but seriously, when you live in bama football never ends. There were a lot of people there considering it is May and baseball tournaments are going on. We were winning when we left. It was really chilly tonight, I kept thinking it was Oct. and homecoming was right around the corner. I always love people watching at these events. Its always fun to see all the kids there. kate with her friends and joe running around with the future buc kids. jack wasn't with us, he was at another friends house. Rumor has it, we are getting a new H so the school merchandise was majorly marked down. I got three tshirst for 15.00 and i bought a magnetic car thingy that says bucs and a front license plate, ea for 5.00. Tomorrow is park day at shades mountain. My boys are out of the tournament which is fine by me. i'm working the jumpy thingy at 9 and then we can just play the rest of the day. yippee! i think the shades mountain shop will be open so i can buy another magnetic thing for my car! ha. good thing i have a big car. lol. okay, this is sooooooooooo long. love to all of you! xoxoxox

Hi! It's Friday and I'm getting my hair trimmed today and I'm actually splurging for her to blow it dry too. I never do that b/c it just costs too much but today, for an end of the year treat for me, I'm doing it. then, i'm going shopping to purchase a new purse for myself with my gc. I never buy good handbags and I'm going to do that today! Valerie, you will be proud of me. :) Also, I'm meeting some moms at the cpk for lunch, sort of celebrating making it through the year and one last lunch before summer. :) Have a great day.

oh and the first football game is tonight at the highschool. ha. i know, you're like, football but remember where we live. it goes on and on and on. if it doesn't rain, we might go. its never too early for football.

Hi! Preschool was actually fine today even with all the rain. It just rained and rained and rained! No matter, I cleaned my room and the kids really had fun playing. I have the best moms ever! They went together and made a really fun basket for me filled with lots of goodies and a 120.00 gc to the mall. :) It is really too much but I'll take it. :) Here is a picture of me and my class.

Hi! Well, it is raining this morning. I have to say, its a really nice soft rain which is soo great for our flowers and grass and drought but really? does it really have to rain right now? why couldn't it have waited til tonight? oh well, whatever, i can't make it go away so i guess we'll just have a crazy day inside at play school.

we are all a little sleepy this morning but everyone got up good. we're focused on the last 5 days of school and then its summer time! whoo hoo. ralph is getting his summer hair cut today, he really needs it. even though i love his furry fluffy sweet face, i know he'll be cleaner and more comfortable w/o all that hair.

Well, Mudcat luck officially ran out tonight at 8:00pm cst. :( The boys rallied and playd their little hearts out. Jack had two great catches at center and they all hit the ball but couldn't quite get r done. They ended the little pow wow at the end of the game with a squirt gun fight! perfect for 5th and 6th graders.

Baseball is over for us. I have to say, I'm a little sad as now I have to think of things to cook for dinner and we all love hanging out at the ball park. On the other hand it will be sort of nice not to have to go to the ball park.

hi everyone. well the rain has held off so far but i just checked the time on jack's game at of course its 6:30. ugh! why couldn't it be 5:30 tonight? oh well. whatever. it is starting to get really humid out side so i'm sure the rain is on the way. rick rested nicely and now he is on his way to dothan to interview more people. his new position is awesome and its going to be worth the sacrifice we are doing right now. he'll be back tomorrow. at least he won't have to sleep in the air port.

sooo, my 20 year class reunion is in the works. ha, i know, 20 years. i remember when my dad was preparing for his 20 year and i thought, wow is he old! lol. i have to say that i'm actually having fun with seeing people from highschool and posting pictures of my family on there. i am about to go up and search in the attic for some photos from 8th grade. ha. someone posted a photo of a field trip from st. marks grade school from 1979. lol. all boys, brown husky corduroys. so cute!

Alright, all of my children have shoes that fit! Whoo hoo. Took Joe to Dick's Sporting Goods and bought his new kickers. He is safe and sound at school now. Talked to Rick on the way there and he said he had to sleep on a bench at Ohare. It was all crazy and ridiculous and he is now trying to catch up on his sleep in our comfy bed.

I'm off to walk or run or crawl or whatever it is I do. lol. Anyway, so far the rain is holding off so you know that means it will start right before Jack's game.

Hey Everyone! I don't even know what day it is, lol. Oh yes, its Wednesday. Can I just tell you, we are soooooooooooooooooo over school and sooooooooooooooooo ready for summer! Joe is having major shoes issues so we are going to Dick's when they open to buy new shoes. I messed up last week when I bought his shoes. I totally bought the wrong size and his new one's are huge. I didn't realize it until after he'd already worn them. Anyway, he gets to check in after he gets his new shoes. Of course, you can imagine, Jack was not happy about this at all!

Rick ended up having to stay in Chicago. He kept texting me saying that his flight was delayed, delayed, delayed and finally at midnight, he said it was canceled. That is so Ohare! ugh. annoying!

Anyway, I have lots to do around the house today. It totally looks like rain which is bogus b/c I hate rain and Jack has his first tournament game tonight. Ummm, I think thats about all. Have a fantastic day!!

Hi. Silly Monday. Talked to Lauren this morning. She is doing well and enjoying learning about her summer classes. She is a busy girl!

Had to take Rick to the air port early this morning so he can bring a company car home tomorrow that is stored in the long term parking. Its definitely easier going to the air port at 4am rather than 4pm.

Jack has a make up game tonight, its beautiful out so it will be nice to hang out at the ball park. I hope they win. The mudcats have been playing good baseball lately. Joe's team party is tomorrow evening and then Joe will be totally done with ball. I did sign him up for football in the fall. He is very excited.

I'm going to try and do some yoga before the boys get home. :)
ps found out awards day is next Tues.

I had a very nice mothers day. The kids bought me a yankee candle and I think I'm getting an ipod. i'm the only one in the family w/o one. We went out to dinner this evening and then to dairy queen. It was so yummy but i'm really full.

Hi Guys! Happy Mommy's day to all the mommy's today! It is a beautiful day here. We had some storms come through early this morning but everything is beautiful now and I don't have to water my flowers today.

Joe's team lost their tournament game yesterday. Joe played a great game! he got two people out at catcher and the other team stopped sending people home from third b/c they were afraid they would get out at home! Way to go CATCH! I think Joe really likes playing catcher so Rick is jazzed about going out and buying all the equipment, I know, you're shocked at that. Rick loves buying stuff like that and I love it too b/c its for Joe! Jack's team won their 2nd to last season game yesterday. The Mudcats are finally playing as a team and hitting the ball. Jack made a great play in center field by retrieving the ball which should have been a double for the batter and it ended up being an out at 2nd! Way to go Jack! His last season game is tomorrow evening and then his league's tournament starts on Wed.

Kate had fun at the lake with her friends, she went tubing and swimming and enjoyed the hot humid weather. She is home now and we are going shopping today. Awards day is on Tues and she thinks she needs a new dress. i think I just bought her 5 new dresses for her birthday but oh well. I love buying her dresses so its okay.

Not sure what else is going on today. I'd like to work in my garden, pull some weeds, maybe go out to eat tonight. We'll see. Have a wonderful day.

I love Saturday mornings especially when we don't have to be any where early. Rick is fishing with a friend and joe is still snoozing, (you're shocked, I know), Jack is over at a friends and Kate is at the lake with friends. I'm firing the two crosses for S&S. Can't wait to see them. I designed them with a simple classic look so hopefully the owner will like them. We'll see.

It turned out that Joe did not have a game yesterday. For some reason, we were not on the calling post so we didn't get the message. We ended up staying and watching the best team in his league get beat. We were happy they were eliminated from the tournament 1. b/c they were good and they beat us 2. b/c there are two boys on the team who aren't very nice and they feel like they are entitled to every win. A loss did them good. One of the boys i mentioned above boo hooed through out the game b/c they were losing and he threw his glove down repeatedly when the other team scored a run and he also spiked the ball at the umpire. had that been joe, i gurantee rick would have been out on the field so fast, joe's head would have spun. his daddy did nothing! at the end of the game, the boys are supposed to all line up and say good game, that kind of thing, that boy walked through the line with his shoulders bumping the other team. I understand that they are young and losing is hard no matter what age but this child was the only one throwing a tantrum. this was the only team i didn't want to win the tournament. all the other ones are great! it is sad though b/c there are some very sweet boys on that team. too bad one or two ruin all the fun for everyone. :(

so, we have two games today. joe has one early afternoon and jack has one this evening. all day at the ball park! whoo hoo.

Happy Friday to one and all! Just put a very grouchy and for no good reason Joe on the bus. Eww, he was just pitiful this morning. Jack has his eye exam at 9;30 down town so we'll leave in about an hour. I'll be happy to get that over with for the day.

I really don't have too much planned. I'm hoping to fire two crosses that I've painted for the S&S people. Joe has a game this evening and it is nice and sunny today so I'm sure games are on.

Hi everyone! Okay, so playschool was okay today, it rained a little but I skipped circle time and snack so we could be outside for about a half an hour. We ate lunch right at noon b/c of skipping snack and the mommies came 45 min. later. One of the babies mom's brought lunch in for all the teachers. It was so yummy and very sweet of her. Rick and I walked 2 miles before it started raining at the house. It really isn't raining hard yet but it looks like its going to storm! I bet jack's game will be rescheduled which is fine with me, the boys have homework! Thats it, all I have to say for now.

I hope you all enjoyed the fun little slide show! Isn't that a fun song? Love it! I was busy yesterday, doing things around the house. I did my yoga on my sunporch yesterday which was really nice. I was surprised that I was out there for 35 min. Not bad for just winging it with my own little program. Rick and I walked our 3 miles and then i totally indulged in eating these yummy cupcakes kate made. I know I shouldn't have but they were so yummy and I was hungry so i ate some dinner too. Ugh! I hate it when I'm hungry. :( oh and i had ice cream too. shameful, i know. today will be better, about once a month, i just have to eat something really yummy. Its supposed to rain today, so hopefully it will hold off til after preschool so we can run and play outside! jack is supposed to have a game this evening but we'll have to see what the weather does. So, i finally got to talk to the scrip and scribble owner and i'm going to design a boy and a girl cross for her exclusively. i'm excited! i love the crosses and they make such nice gifts. Okay, i'm outta here, have to get ready for the day. Bye!

Hello, Happy Wednesday. :)

Well, I was just reading an article on Drudge.com about people getting rid of their SUV's. One of my friends at baseball last night was just saying she is turning in her Expedition for a car. I don't blame her. Her oldest is driving now and so right there, they have other cars and gas to pay for. I still love my Suburban! Right now, it totally fits my life with hauling lots of children all over town and picking up fun things at the junk store. Do I like filling that sucker up? Heck no but for now, it works and it will bepaid off soon which will be fantabulous! I will be driving it for several more years and then we'll probably retire it to the third stall garage for Rick's hunting and my hauling junk from the store to home. Kate will be driving and I will most likely get a smaller suv.

Okay, so Joe had a an awesome game last night! Whoo hoo. He broke his striking out slump with two great hits and he even got a runner out at home plate! Go joe. Peyton, hit a home run which ended the game and the Storm won! I will have pictures later, camera is in the car now.

I guess thats about it. I have glazing and firing to do today. I'm not leaving this house except to walk the 3 miles I should walk. I'm also hoping to get my yoga in this morning. Right now, I'm going to search for a great picture of me so i can post it on my high school reunion's web site. of course, you all know the family pic that is going on there, lol. i'm going to crop and us the other beach pic of me from last year to go by my name on the site. seriously, this is important stuff here!

Hi. We are all sleepy sleepy this morning. It is nice and sunny here, I think its going to be warm too which I love! I need to wake up and get ready for preschool. :)

HI! Okay, here is big big news! MUDCATS WIN! Yay!

Hi! Okay, it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful outside, I just want to frame this day. I love days like these! I actually took my well worn yoga mat out to my deck this morning and literally saluted the sun in person. :) I did my yoga on my back deck and it was so great. I was thinking that I would buy myself a months worth of classes at the local yoga studio but seriously, 165.00 is wayyyyy too much for me to spend when i can do it by myself. I know how and what to do for yoga so it is silly to spend the money and it is really so nice on my deck.

I just kept moving today. i painted today, did laundry, did yoga, walked 2.5, cleaned, and went grocery shopping. the kids came home and i got them snacks, sanded my old (new to me ) wrought iron chair, watched joe hit baseballs in the back yard, heated up yummy pasta from last night, enjoyed the last of the chardonnay and now we are all getting ready to head up to the ball park. jack has a game. just when you thought we could wind down for the evening, noooooo, we are just getting going. i'm in the mood for some ball park pop corn and a yummy diet coke! love our ice at the bp:)

Here I am looking another Monday in the face. Thankfully it is sunny sunny sunny! Kids are off to school and hopefully I can get things in order today. Joe lost his game yesterday so his team plays tomorrow in the tournament. Jack plays tonight at 7:30. ugh, i struggle with the late games. Anyway, not too much else to write about. We have about 14 days left of school, not that we're counting or anything. ;) I love summer!

Hi everyone! First Communion was great. It was a very nice service and the children did a wonderful job. It was fun seeing all the children dressed up and looking so nice. The girl's dresses were all beautiful and the boys looked awesome in their Sunday best. After the service we went to Ben and Jerry's for a little treat and then over to the Cos's for dinner. thank you so much for inviting us Valerie!

today we have a baseball game that was supposed to be yesterday but due to storms was canceled. after this game, we'll know when joe's team plays in the tournament. I have cleaning to do and painting. We can't wait to see pictures of AGS's communion!! I'm sure her dress is going to be the prettiest!

Park day has been canceled due to lots of rain and storms. I can't say that I'm sad about it b/c we have a lot to do around here today. Hopefully it will be rescheduled. I got to sleep in which was so great and now I'm wrapping gifts for friends and teachers first communion and doing laundry and washing dishes. I am excited to work on a painting order i received earlier in the week. :) I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday for a min. to buy a canvas and I forgot how much I love that store! They have so much more fun stuff than Michaels. I didn't have time to really shop but I'm excited to go back there.

Hi. Here are some fun little pictures of me and joe at his school today. the picnic was wonderful, we had subway and it was yummy. i loved seeing all of his friends and mine too. also, loved seeing their projects. :) it was their nonfiction displays. joe studied birds and they even had baby chicks in there. they were so sweet.

Hi Guys!

Today is crazy. Actually today and tomorrow are seriously crazy. Found out yesterday that I have a mothers day picnic with Joe at school. I had heard some rumblings about this from a mom and I looked around the house to see if Joe had brought anything home about it and I couldn't find anything. I asked Joe and he didn't know anything so I sort of forgot about it. Last night at the ball park, I saw a mom there whose son is in Joe's class and I asked her and she said, yep, at 11:15. Okay then, so I'm going to bring lunch to school so Joe and I can have lunch together. I really need to fire some pieces and grocery shop and go shopping to find something for tomorrow's first communion. I also have to make sure Joe has everything he needs for first communion. Joe has rehersal this evening at church. Since we've been through this once before at POP, I know what to expect but we are still going just in case something has changed. Kate is going to the crawfish boil tonight but she can't spend the night anywhere b/c she is working park day at the ball park tomorrow. A great way to make $50.00. I'm helping our team mom work the jumpy thing at 9am for an hour and then both my boys have games. We will have to hurry home to shower and head over to church for joe's special night. I'm very much looking forward to meeting the Cos crew too. Thank you Valerie for inviting us. :) Yes, I will eat some cake!

Joe's team won last night and he had a great catch in left field! Go Joe. What a fun way to wrap up our season. He is really getting the fielding down and doing so well.

Anyway, I have to get moving other wise, 11:15 is going to get here and I'll still be sitting here. Wish me luck in finding something cute for tomorrow. I still love that jcrew dress but 350.00 is just a bit much for me to spend on first communion. I'd have to wear it everyday for a year to get the money out of it and people might remember that dress, its pattern is sort of unforgettable.:)

Hi. Had a fun day at playschool. We played outside a lot and enjoyed the day. there was yummy sweet stuff floating all around school today. one of my kids brought krispy kreme doughnuts in, i gave them to them for snack. i did not have any. then the 2nd grade at the school was having their first communion breakfast and they had cake, white cake with white frosting. oooohhhh, soooo yummy. i did not have any of that but i wanted some. i walked when i got home, took a power nap and now the kids are home and i'm planning on going outside to plant some flowers. i love this dress from jcrew but it is $350.00. seriously! what in the world?

Just look at the picture of my sweet Joe. He was so excited to catch that ball. Rick said to his coach, "good luck prying that ball from his hands." coach said, "that catch just made my season!" yay joe He has a game this evening at 7 which is fine b/c he can get his homework done and then we can head to the ball park. Last night the consession stands weren't open b/c it wasn't a game night even though we were playing a game. the siblings of the players were all bummed out. Its funny how we get used to certain things at these games. i usually get a diet coke b/c i love the ice there but not last night.

Today is hat day at school. Each child that wears a hat had to bring a dollar to donate for a fund for a child in the school who is suffering from cancer. As long as they pay their dollar they get to wear the hat. joe brought 2.00 b/c he wants to switch hats. I sent my money for the little school supply pack fundraiser thingy. I love that joe's supplies for next year are purchased! yippee. i think jack's is due next week. last year, i was out of town and rick did a great job purchasing the kids supplies but it is just so nice to have it all shrink wrapped and ready to go. when we lived in Indy, the boy scout troop at kate's school sold supplies as a fund raiser and it was so nice. Anyway, enough about that.

today is preschool. it is gorgeous out right now so guess what? we're going outside! i've sort of checked out for the year. of course i still love my little twos but it is so pretty outside that i just want to be out. also, i love that the kids go home all worn out and ready for a good nap. i'm sure their mama's love it too.

i guess thats about it. 43 days til the beach. yay! i've had dreams about the beach recently. we're going to have fun and hopefully, i'll get a good pic like last years and i will be able to put it up on our blog. if not, then this one is staying. lol. i think that picture will be our christmas pic every year for the next 50 years. ha, that would be sort of funny.
