Saturday

Hi guys. Saturday is here and I'm so confused on my days as I'm still on Christmas break. Weird. I've enjoyed the past two days being home by myself, i've gotten a lot done around the house which is so great! Joe ended up getting a spend the night invite yesterday evening. He was so excited. Soo when I picked Kate and friends up from the movies, the girls had the house to themselves and from the sounds of the teenage laughter, I think they had fun. Rick is hunting again this morning. Seriously, you'd think he'd get sick of the same old thing every day but he doesn't. Oh and thanks girls for all the wine tips on yesterdays comments. I'll for sure have to try those! My interesting tv watching was an episode of house hunters which has star jones reynolds as the host? what in the world? what happened to the other girl? I also caught the last 15 min. of the fox report with Shep Smith whom I love. It was interesting though b/c a lot of the articles he was reporting on I already knew about by visiting dlisted.com. Now, I will say when Shep reported along with the fox drama music it seemed much more news worthy and not trashy. lol. Now here is the most interesting thing I watched last night. I know you're all going to wish you were here with me but we can't all be so blessed. I watched bear hunting with Rick in his office. I know I know, you're all jealous and I'm sure Valerie, you wish you would have been here and not at that fun movie, Enchanted. lol. anyway, not sure whats on tap for today, probably the same old stuff, you know by now what it is, laundry, work out, drive kids somewhere. Sunday school is back in session tomorrow so its early to bed tonight. Have a great Saturday!

Evening News

Hello,

It's Friday and kids are busy. Jack is at a birthday party tonight and they are going to have fun! They are staying at the Ross Bridge hotel which has an indoor pool so the boys are going to get to swim tonight. How fun for January. Kate is off to the movies with a bunch of friends and Joe is downstairs playing xbox with his friend.

I cleaned all day. I mean cleaned, I dusted ceiling fans and changed light bulbs and cleaned windows and vacuumed. ugh! tonight, I'm just curling up in the big red chair with a glass of wine and watching something interesting on the tube. :)

Sleepy Boys

Sooooo, Joe will not get up this morning. I went up to his room three times and he isn't budging. I knew this would happen, he got up good yesterday b/c he was excited to see all of his friends and he even went to bed early last night but vacation and too many partying nights with his favorite cousins has officially caught up with him. Jack is dealing with a cough so I'm letting him sleep. I guess I'll check them in late morning. Kate was up and ready to go and she didn't even ask to go car pool.

It is cold again this morning. brrrr. Rick is hunting, he is crazy! We don't have anything big planned for the weekend which is wonderful! Kate is having some girls over tonight and they 're going to a movie, Jack is going to a birthday party at the Ross Bridge hotel. I'm not sure I'm going to let him sleep there just b/c of his cough. He can go and swim and eat and hang out and then we'll get him around 10:30. I know he isn't going to be happy with that but I think its best.

Thats about it. I'm hoping to get another good work out in today and we ate a good dinner last night so, so far I'm doing good with two of my new years resolutions. :)

Back to School!

Hi. WEll, The kids are back to school and my Christmas is down and stored in the closet for another year. Ahh! It is so nice to have the house back. It is freeeeeezzzzing her today. burries! The sun is shining which I'm good with. I'm okay as long as it isn't gloomy outside. I'm loving my slide show. Its pretty good if I do say so myself.:) Please say a little prayer that my friend, Valerie's dog, Buddy makes it home safely. He is a shih-tzu like Ral and I just can't imagine if Ral were missing. I'd be an absolute mess.

Today, I'm going to get my work out in, I have to! Hey, this is something new. Last night I fixed fish in the oven and we all ate it! Can you believe it? It was yummy and a dinner Rick Short would be proud of. tonight its chicken stir fry with long grain rice. One of my new years resolutions is to make sure everyone eats healhtier in this house!
