Yay Joe!

Joe caught the winning out of the game tonight. His team was doing really well and the coach moved kids around and he got to play second base for the last inning. A pop fly was hit to second base and Joe caught it!

It's Wednesday and its rather chilly outside but I just checked the weather and it said that its going to be 78 here which sounds perfect! Kids are all off to school but not before kate begging to stay home from the field trip to the theater. Why do these children think they can just miss field trips. We made her go. Rick and I said we were always excited about field trips b/c that meant we didn't have to stay at school for the day. Anyway, she is there and mad about it but oh well.

I have a luncheon this afternoon with preschool girls whom I love. We are celebrating our directors time at POP and saying See ya soon. I hate saying good bye! We always have fun when we all get together.

Joe has a game at 5:30 which is so nice b/c the 7:30 games are too late.

I sort of wish Rick was a carpenter b/c I really want a built in type look with bookcases and such in my family room. I always have, I think it would be really warm and cozy and give the house a custom feel. I've recently brought this up to Rick and I'm sure he thinks this is a new thing b/c I've never really told him before. I'm going to start dropping hints here and there. anyway, this isn't exactly what i want but its similar. i really don't need tv thing there and i want them to be bigger, more like length of the wall but i want them white i think. anyway, i'm in a redo and upgrading mood. :)

It's not summer yet. Yep, once again, mother nature has snapped me back into reality and she has made it a little chilly out side. Its sort of nice though b/c by sat. it will be hot. We got some well needed rain, we haven't turned the sprinklers on yet which is great. The kids are all off to school and i'm heading up to the elementary school in about an hour. Thats about all i have planned for today. Have a good one.

Hi Friends and Family,

Well, Sunday is winding down, we just ate a yummy spaghetti dinner and now its time to focus evening things such as finishing laundry, reading with joe and getting the boys in the shower. We had a nice weekend, this week is going to be busy. I'm helping with the career fair at the boys school in the morning. I haven't been up there very much lately so it will be nice to help out. i think we are supposed to have a beautiful week as far as weather goes which will be wonderful for playschool. yippee! Joe had his last Sunday school class, Sat. is first communion. I can't believe it is that time of year already, however, i'm not complaining one bit! I'm a summer girl so bring on the hot humid days. :) rick and walked about 3 miles. I added the big hill to our walk, i just thought we needed a little kicker with bathing suit season about 3 weeks away. Anyway, have a wonderful evening.

Hello. It is 4pm on Sat. and this is my first real chance at checking in with you! Joe's game was at 10am so we were up and out fairly early. It rained for about 10 min. during his game, nothing serious but enough that the boys were wet. They ended up losing but they really had a good game as the team they were playing was really good and they held them for two innings. The score was 11-7 which in 8 year old league ball isn't too bad. His buddy got beat 22-10. Okay, here is big news!


MUDCATS WIN! I know, you don't believe me but its true. We played over at the other ball park today and we won. Jack caught a pop in center and then a pop at first. Yay! I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the mudcats are going to win the tournament! I think we are finally getting our game on and there isn't a better time to do it.

I just walked about 3 miles, it is hot and humid here, my kind of weather. I've been thinking about Shawn and the show today. I hope they didn't have a lot of rain and I hope she sold lots of cards plus maybe some of my things. You never know with art work. It has to just catch someones eye and mostly, I believe it has to speak to them and that doesn't happen all the time.

It's Friday! Yay! We all ended up going to the ball park last night. I had to take Jack up there and Rick met us there so we all ended up staying. It was such a pretty evening, too pretty to be inside doing homework, reading, showering and going to bed which we should have been doing. Oh well. Mudcat luck never ran out! They won! Whoo hoo. It was just a practice game but hey, a win's a win in my book. Today, I'm running several canvas's over to Shawn so she can take them to the show tomorrow. I love all the ones I'm sending so maybe they won't sell and I can keep them. I know that sounds crazy but each one is sort of a little piece of me and letting them go is sort of hard.

Let's see, not much else is going on. I have to fire some pieces today, run to the grocery store to do my Friday pick ups, frame a painting that is being given as a gift. oh, that is going to be fun, seeing it framed! love that. hmmmm, oh yes, go to belk and check out the new yellow box flip flops. get them while you can! have a great friday. ;)

Had a great day at preschool today. All but one of my two's rode the pony today. We had lots of play time on the play ground and even had a picnic! yay! love this weather. I'm sure all the kids fell asleep in the car before they even got home. I'm posting some pictures of our deck. It looks so much better. :)

Hi! Beautiful, beautiful day today! We are doing pony rides at preschool which are always fun. Love going to work in the spring! Everyone is happy and it is pretty outside, the days fly by. Yay!

Joe put himself to bed last night at 7:45pm. He was grouchy, and tired and he even by passed his ipod sitting on the steps. He didn't even put his jammies on, just crawled in his bed and fell asleep. He woke up happy and ready for his day! Kids know when they need to sleep at least Joe does. Jack has a practice game tonight but with it just being a practice game, we might stay home at least me and joe. i just think it gets to be too much. We'll see how the day goes.

I've had a productive day today. I straightened Joe's room and cleaned the boys bathroom. It soooo needed it! I'm waiting on Rick to get home so we can walk our two miler. it is hot out side but I love walking in the heat so let's go already.

Hi! Just got back from taking Kate to the ortho for her post braces check up. she is doing great! We thought maybe her wisdom tooth was coming in but thankfully, it isn't. Her retainer was just cutting into her upper gum. After the ortho visit we ran into Publix so she could get something to eat and I bought a few things for dinner. Now, I'm firing the bday party mugs and I need to organize my paintings for Shawn to haul to the show on Sat. where it is not going to rain until after 5pm! It is beautiful outside today but my allergies were kicking in so I picked up some claritin, not the claritin d but just claritin. Thats about it. We don't have anything on the calendar tonight! woo hoo!!! We can just hang out at home, how nice. The boys can do homework and go to bed at a decent hour. I love that!

Well, we are home for the evening and its only 10pm. ha. just made mac and cheese for the pummel er. mud cat luck ran out about the 3rd inning. yep, they lost again. oh well. jack played good, made some good plays at first base. Kate saw a bunch of friends, Joe watched a couple of his Buddie's games, i wished my friend, Andrea a happy birthday and saw some more friends so it wasn't all sad at the ball park tonight. i have new pictures all over the place. baseball pics, spring pics from school, Kate's dance pics which of course she totally hates. lol. i did have a chance to make it to the library to get some new books before meeting rick at the sporting goods store to put jack's bag in his car. jack had to get new baseball cleats tonight b/c last night he ripped the sole off his old ones and i forgot about it so rick ran him up to the store but not before trying to glue the old sole back on the cleat. lol. what in the world? ha. so funny. anyway, new cleat's for jack! I'm off to look at all the new books i got from the library where i even returned my books on time so i didn't have a fine to pay! woo hoo.

Hi! Had a great day at preschool. It is getting warm outside. Still, not humid so that it is still nice to be outside. My four two's, yes I only had four today, opted out of the picnic. They wanted to eat inside today. No big deal, we ate, and went back outside til the mommy's picked them up.

Kate has dance tonight and Jack has a game so I will load everyone in the bus at 5, take Kate to dance, head to the ball park for early warm ups and then back to dance to get kate and then back to the ball park to watch the mudcats keep their luck tonight! They are going to win, darn it. Joe lost his game last night. they were robbed. It was one of those crazy games when Joe's team was up 21 to 11 and the other team got last ups and our team was getting tired and they sort of lost it in the field and the other team ended up winning. ugh! joe was so mad, he cried. Rick loved the passion he he had for the the game and he loved how competitive he was last night. Go Joe!

Not much else going on. I am trying to stay out of the fridge, I need to stop eating. :(

Hi! Another gorgeous day in the deep south. Rick has already started working on the details of finishing the stain on the deck. I am not a detail person, blah! Thankfully, he is. The deck looks awesome. I will take pictures later. The kids are off to school and I'm left to clean the house. Mondays are my official cleaning day. Tonight, Jack has practice and Joe has a game. We are half way through baseball season. We are always so excited to start and by this time in the seaons, we're counting down the games. I guess thats about all. Nothing too exciting.

just taking a minute to let you know that its hot outside! i love it though, you know i do. i've stained a lot of the deck and the deck mate is very cool. i'm waiting on rick to get back from the depot with a couple more wool stainer things. they work really great but they get torn up from the some of the older wood that snags it. anyway, our deck is going to rock and we're having a party when its done! yippee!!! whoo hoo. party on dude.

Hello. I have to post fast because Rick is on a mission. We made it to early church this morning. We had to b/c Joe cannot miss the next two weeks b/c of communion preparation. I love seeing people at church that I know, it is such a warm feeling. I saw two of my little two's which i love seeing too. Rick and I picked kate up at her friends church after our church and between the boy's sunday school. We went to home depot to buy the deck mate and stain for our deck. Rick is going to power wash the deck and i'm going to stain. whoo hoo. i love staining things! its a beautiful day today, i'm also working on a mother and daugthers painting. i think it is going to be precious. gotta run!

Another reminder that it is still spring and not summer. It is chilly outside this morning! It is really pretty though and great for the flowers and grass to be able to soak in some of the rain we got last night. See, i like rain when it happens between midnight and 3am. lol. Last night I did a pottery party for my friend and fellow blog buddy, shawn's daughter. I love doing the bday parties b/c the kids are always so enthusiastic to paint! They just go to town and their pieces are always so perfect! I will glaze them today and start firing tomorrow. Today, is just doing things around the house and definitely going to the post office to mail April birthday gifts! April is a huge month for birthdays in our family and I have to pace myself but I love buying gifts for people and its even fun shipping them knowing they'll be getting their treasures soon. Hello. A carbon copy of yesterday. It is so pretty outside. I have my usual Friday activites to do today, laundry,grocery shopping, michaels, etc. kids are still sleeping. we didn't get in from the ball park until 10pm. mudcat luck ran out about the 4th inning. they were ahead and then they weren't. the game ended in a tie. 13-13. oh well. kate is at her friends, jack and joe are still sleeping, the neighbor boy spent the night with joe but he is awake. that always happens. joe sleeps so long! I'll write more later. :)

a little taste of summer

this afternoon has been almost perfect! kate got some sunshine on the back deck, i took a little power nap on my sunporch sofa. ahh, it was so nice. joe has been riding scooters with friends down the street and jack had a great time at the zoo. i grilled hangaburgers outside and now we are getting ready to go to the ball park. rick is on his way home from hotlanta and he'll catch the last part of jack's game. i wonder what kind of mudcat luck we'll have tonight. that's about it. if i could bottle today, i'd be a billionaire!

had a great day at playschool today! the weather is so beautiful. we played outside most of the day, we even had a picnic lunch. love days like this! jack went to the zoo with friends and he has a ball game tonight. it'll be a great night for a game.

I'm going to fire some pieces and then work on a painting that i've started. love having fun projects to do!

no school

the kids are out of school tomorrow and friday. seriously? why? why do they do that to mothers? i have to work so at least i'll be able to get out of the house. the kids can sleep in which will be great for them! wish we were going to the beach.

no cavities

I'm happy to report that none of the kids had cavities! Jack will visit the ortho in about 6mo. hard to believe its time for that. we've barely recovered from kate's ortho.

Hi! We all got to sleep in a little bit this morning b/c all three kids have dentist apts at 9:30. I love that they can all go at one time and then we're done for 6 mo. Looks like a beautiful day today. Have a great morning.

Hi. Had a good day at preschool. It turned out to be really beautiful outside so we got to play for a long while on the play ground. I'm getting ready to take the birthday girl to dance and then I'm off to the ball park for games. Thankfully, we'll be home by 7:30 tonight. I love that! as you can see, i'm a big fat copy cat and i have decided to change my background just like everyone else. i always seem to lose all my fun add ons on the right hand side. i'm sure there is a way to keep them while changing but i've yet to figure it out. anyway, i don't really like this one, but i'm tired of looking so this is it for now! congrats to all the girls who made dance team! way to go!

cleaning

Hi! Okay, so I've been spring cleaning today. I figured since it is still just spring and not summer, I should get going on some deep cleaning. I know its going to get hot eventually and we're going to want to be at the pool and not clean windows. I was going to do the elliptical today but I don't have to. I'm totally getting a work out just doing the floors. I even went to the garage and brought the tall ladder out so i could clean the circle top window over the front door and the ceiling fan blades. I know, you're really wondering if its true and I'm hear to tell you that it is! I vacuumed the stairs too. I turned the heat on today and now I'm hot! You so wish you could be me and be here doing all this cleaning but sorry, the jobs taken. ;)

ps. refrigerator/microwave wet wipes work excellent on ceiling fan blades! much easier than a paper towel and windex.

I was sort of thinking of giving it to Trisha for a going away gift. I'm not sure though. This painting and I have become quite attatched!lol

Monday Morning

Hello. Well, nothing exciting happened yesterday so I didn't have anything else to tell you about. Joe had a fabulous time seeing the Lion King in Atlanta. It was fun hearing all about it. Today, I'm going to take advantage of everyone being out of the house to get caught up again around here. I'm still working on a couple of things upstairs. Sometimes, I have to bring my painting stuff to the kitchen b/c I sort of get bored up there by myself w/o windows to see out of in my office. I have to fire some pieces, finish laundry, and clean floors today. I probably should run to the grocery store later on. Oh, and I really need to get some kind of exercise in today! That should be top on the list. There has been some talk about a trip to the beach this weekend as our trip to the anatomy exhibit in Atlanta has been canceled. Hmmm, the beach. Yes, I could go for that! I am not sure if it will work out but I'm always hopeful. :)

Hi. Okay, it is chilly here but it is actually really pretty outside. The trees are so green and the sky is a beautiful shade of blue. Not sure where this cold snap is from but i know that i will be happy if it scoots on outta here soon. I'm still dealing with my allergies, maybe its a cold, i don't know. the claritin d seems to help which is wonderful. Rick is meeting his mom and dad to get joe this afternoon and i'm planning on working on several projects in my office. I'll be sure to let you know if anything exciting happens! Have a great day.

Hi everyone. It is almost 10pm and i'm writing for the first time today. Joe is in atlanta with rick's mom for the lion king. i'm so excited to hear about it.rick will drive over there tomorrow to get him. kate and i went birthday shopping today and she found some fun clothes and then we had lunch at zoes. jack had a ball game today. even though the mudcats did not win, jack had a couple of good catches and he continued to play hard and have a good attitude. we are proud of him for that. kate is at her friends house tonight and i'm getting ready to crawl into bed. i think its supposed to get quite chilly here maybe tomorrow and monday. brrr. i like it hot!

He sort of lets me do what i want b/c i let him have dead animals in his office and joe's room. Anway, i love this! it is at jcpenny in a new collection called american tradition or something like that. i want the whole shebang, all of it!

Hello. Its Friday and it looks like rain, which is fine with me as I don't have to do anything outside. Actually it is better for me today that it rains b/c then I will be forced to do things in the house! This time of year, I love to plant and rearrange my garden and check on new seedlings and such. so, if it rains, maybe i'll stay in and clean the bathrooms. Ha! Or I can just go into my office and paint, paint paint! Kate is still home with stomach bug. Kids are dropping like flies around here. last night at jack's practice game one of the boys on his team got sick. There were a bunch of kids checking out of Kate's school yesterday. All the moms thought we were over this but apparently we aren't. Kate's back pack and phone which is in her b.p. are in her locker so I'm going to have to go up there and get it sometime today. Joe is on a field trip this morning with school. They are going to the theater to see if you give a mouse a cookie. rick's mom is coming in this afternoon to stay the night and then tomorrow she and joe are going to atlanta to see the lion king in the theater. joe will definitely get his cuture in this weekend. Thats about it for me. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Home!

Hi! Well, Joe's team won their game. It was a battle of the defenses b/c the score was 23-17. I helped keep the book which I actually enjoyed. The team mom and I took turns each inning and it is really easy. Jack had a practice game but I brought Joe home around 8 so he could study his spelling and sort of unwind before bed. Kate came home from school this morning. She threw up at school so Rick picked her up.There is another bug going around. Ugh! When will it be summer. We are supposed to get bad storms tonight, the rain willl be great for all my new transplanted flowers and for our drought. I don't have preschool tomorrow so it can rain all day long. I think its supposed to get chilly this weekend. Blah! hate that. I'm off to chill out for awhile. Night!

Hi. well, its Thursday and it is supposed to be nice outside, actually hot today. We'll see. Its also supposed to thunderstorm later on which would be fine with me b/c we have baseball tonight and i still don't feel great so i'd like to just stay home. I'm supposed to do the book for joe's team and being in an allergy fog does not lend itself to good book keeping which is definitely not one of my strongest assets even on a good day. Everyone is still healthy and off to school. I've moved on to mucinex this morning. That is some strong stuff and i just took it about 25 min. ago and i can already feel my sinuses starting to clear. i love that popping and cracking sound of all the nasty mucus breaking up. ha ha, i know that is a little strange but its true. thats about it. playschool this morning and ball tonight, pretty much the same old same old. i did manage to paint this angel last night which i love! she isn't varnished yet b/c i still might add some touch ups to her but i love her softness with the blue and brown tones. painting angels and things with lots of long brush strokes and swirly strokes is what makes me happy. i'm learning that i do not paint straight lines very well, and precise angels are not my thing, seriously, i should already know that. i never hang anything with a level, if it looks straight then it is and it drives rick crazy.. so i'm just going to paint what makes my heart sing. :)

love this little planter for the back deck. i need two more to complete it but its going to have to wait a few days as rick gets totally stressed when he sees all kinds of new flower things at one time. i have learned to spread it out over a good couple of weeks.:) its just better that way.
am very excited about this cherry tomato plant. the grocery store seems to only have grape tomatoes and i love love love cherry tomatoes, just pop them into your mouth and its a perfect snack and i know they will be 100% organic!

hi. had a great lunch today at jason's deli. i wasn't very hungry so i just had a turkey sandwich. it was fun catching up with my friend jill. i ran to wal mart on the way home. i had to pick up a few things and i even bought more flowers to plant. i know, i know, you're shocked! they had poppies there and i know their season is almost over here but i thought for next spring they would be really fun. also picked up some rannuculous plants which of course i'm sure i will kill. they are soooooo hard to manage. anyway, i'm out the door to plant. i've been trying to work on this special painting for a friend but i'm having a hard time. i'm just better at painting certain things and not others. is that normal? i wish i could just paint anything, but i can't so i'm going to have to change my course of action here. bye

Hi guys! I've been on this computer for awhile now, posting pics and such. I love the ball park pics. I gave the camera to Kate last night and she took crooked pics but i think they're kind of fun. She said we could straighten them out on the computer but that is asking too much of me so I just posted them as is. all the kids are at school, yay! We totally missed a dental apt for all three kids. not sure how that happened but i rescheduled for next wed. wow, 3 apts. missed for them, yikes, i feel really bad. I'm glad i didn't remember though b/c i still didn't sleep good with my nose and sore muscles from the garden work i've done. I found a regular claritin in the cabinet today and took it with an advil cold and sinus. i was afraid to take the claritin d with the advil cold and sinus. whoo! i'd be out there for awhile, worse than i usually am. I need to get going on some house work. i'm meeting my friend jill for lunch and i want to fire some things and work on a special painting. it looks nice outside but i think tomorrow night and friday we are supposed to be in for major storms. that was the scoop at the ball park anyway. have a wonderful wednesday.

Hi all, had a good day at playschool. It didn't rain but it wasn't sunny either which is good b/c I didn't have worry about the kids getting sun burned. We played outside and everyone had fun. I bought my claritin D before work and I love it! I'm a little sleepy though and I think that is b/c i didn't sleep last night. It must be working b/c I'm not sneezing as much and my ears aren't as itchy as well as my throat. The insides of my ears way down in there were sooooo itchy, it was driving me crazy! Anyway, hopefully tomorrow will be better. We have to leave in about a half an hour for Jack's game. I have to squirt drops in joe's eyes which he is going to hate! Rick should be on his way home soon. He is working hard on getting his new team hired.

Tuesday

Hi everyone. Well, we're not having a great start morning. First of all, I didn't sleep well at all! I think I need to buy my allergy medicine b/c I am miserable so, I 'm heading to walgreens before work. Also, Joe was eating breakfast and I looked at his eyes b/c they looked red, well, guess what? Pink eye. Even Joe was like, I have a pink eye mom. So, while I'm at the drug store, I'll pink up some pink eye drops. Kate is home with a stomach thing, probably what Joe had. So at least I can still go to work b/c kate is here with joe. Everything usually works out in a round about way. I can sometimes bring the kids to work with me if they aren't contagious but not with pink eye, the whole playschool would have it. I'm so sleepy and to top it off it looks like rain which its not supposed to b/c the forecast on sunday for the week said sunny til wed, obviously, it lied.

Joe had a tough game last night but the Storm ended up pulling a win out of it. Joe had a couple of good hits and a lot of good throws from right field into second base. We didn't get home til late but Joe still read and did his spelling. Jack has a game tonight, if its going to rain then i just want it to rain and cancel the games so we can stay in and go to bed at 7. haha

Hi! Sunny Monday, yay! I love that. I have a lot to do today, but first I have to take Jack to the dr. to have his nose looked at again, its just a follow up so no big deal but his school is still having testing so i'm not sure if i can check him in . anyway, i am going to continue to work outside and i have a new painting project i want to start. Oh and of course I have laundry, dishes, beds to make, floors to clean, toilets to scrub, blah blah blah! V find me a cleaning person! haha. Joe has a game tonight which will be fine b/c it is so beautiful outside and I think its supposed to be beautiful tomorrow too. Shoot, I'm still trying to find us a pool as the pool we've belonged to for almost 4 summers is going back to being exclusive to the residents of the subdivision. Any ideas my local friends?

prices

Okay, i'm only taking a moment on this as it is a little pointless but as V says, its my blog and I'll say it if i want to. Prices on groceries have totally gone up! I know that people were talking about this a few months ago but seriously, they are out of control. I guess its the trickle down of fuel prices but bananas were .49lb and now they're .69lb, my fav. spaghetti sauce used to be .99 now its 1.40. what in the world! crazy. wine is still a good deal, thank goodness b/c we're all going to need more of it to cope with the outrageous prices out there! Oh and btw, Wal mart had some really cute fun house ware things FYI, not that I love wal mart but, hey, if its cute, it's cute and thats that!

Sunday!

Hi guys, This is a late posting. Its been a busy day starting with early church. The boys and I went to early church. Joe is almost ready to make his first communion so we are trying to make all the classes. Fr. F had a good homily this morning. Basically he was saying be hospitible! Okay. I can do that. After church, I made another quick run to wal mart to see what flowers the 150 wal mart had. I picked up some lantana, pampas grass and geraniums. I hustled over to publix which i love and bought some things to get us through the week, I told Joe I'd bring home a doughnut for him and I almost forgot so I ran through publix to get it! He'd never go to sunday school again if I forgot it this week. I picked the boys up, came home made my yummy smoothie for lunch and headed outside to dig in the dirt! I transplanted all the perennials from the front yard garden to this area in the back yard that doesn't have grass. I think its going to look so good once its all mulched and totally done. i got a nice little sun burn and a good work out. After showering and cleaning up which is like the best ever. I love working in the yard and then coming in and taking a nice shower. kate and I went to Jack's baseball game. She was going to go to 5pm mass but we got wrapped up in the game and we sort of missed it. Jack's team ended up losing in over time by one home run. shoot! Jack had a double and a great catch in foul territory in the outfield. We just had a yummy pasta dinner, Ralph got to hang out with Donna for the day which he totally loved. She even trimmed his eyebrows. i lovet that! Joe has bathed, Kate and Rick on a nice little walk and I have no idea where Jack is. That's it! Oh and my painting that I donated to the auction last night went for at least $125.00. yay! I'm happy my talent could benefit catholic education. Tomorrow, its supposed to be very nice, so i'm hoping to work out in the yard and maybe even run to the landscaping place to check out flagstones. i hope your sunday was great! shawn i missed seeing you today.

Okay, so i've been to wal mart and started the annual summer flower buying. I really don't have to buy that much because all my perennials are doing fine. So, I think in honor of us being here five years (thats a long time for us), we should definitely put in a beautiful patio where my garden is under the deck. I want to make it so cute and fun and maybe someday entertain out there, ha, i know you're all laughing but it could happen. Here are some pictures I've sent to rick on his computer. I told him I'd be very happy if he had this patio installed for mothers day and my birthday.

just got in from a 2 miler with my hubby. it is still gray and gloomy outside but i know that sun is coming out! saw jack with friends in the back yard jumping on the trampoline, we also saw the fifth grade girls talking to them across the ravine. haha, tween flirting. too funny.

joe has the birthday party and kate is going to a basketball game this afternoon to see a friend play. i think i will get kate so i can go to wal mart and buy some flowers and dirt! yay, love dirt!

Saturday

Hi! It is still wet and cloudy outside but I sort of love all the contrasting colors with the gray clouds and the green grass and my garden right by the house is really starting to pop. I even have a rose bud on my orangey rose bush. Can't wait to see it. The crepe myrtles are starting to bud and get leaves on them and my pink lantana is coming up. I can't find my verbena from last year, it must be under all the new mulch. I can always replace it, it isn't expensive but my tiger lillies and day lillies are really looking beautiful, this is their 4th year and I probably should divide them now. I have a clematis that I planted in my garden under the deck last year and I thought for sure it croaked with the drought but it is growing like crazy! The hydrangeas are all doing good too. I need to get out there and clean it up. i think the sun is supposed to pop out later on so maybe i can do it then.

I think baseball is canceled for today. I haven't called the rain out number yet but i bet the fields are soaked. that means i can just putts around the house today. yay! Joe has a birthday party later on today at the bowling ally. should be fun.

Hi! Wow, what a day. Seriously between Joe throwing up at 5am, and Jack getting his face bashed in and then all the storms, I think i'm done. I haven't even cooked dinner yet. Rick is on his way home which is nice. Jack is doing fine, he is actually at his friends house so I think he'll be okay. Kate is at her friends house, the schools were dismissed early b/c of the storms. We didn't have anything severe here but I'm sure there were areas around us that did. It's that time of year when storms pop up and tornadoes can happen in a second.

I was upstairs painting in my office and I just couldn't get with the program so I washed my brushes and turned out the light. Maybe tomorrow will be better. :)

I saw on aol that they've listed the 4" bagel as a lean protein. Just last week, bagels were totally tabu and a bad carb. I guess 4" in diameter isn't very big but probably big enough. Also listed were edemame, Karyn are those the beans that you like? I've never seen them here. Broccoli, hummus,chick peas (hummus w/o evoo), ,low fat yogurt and peas. All yummy foods! Eat Up. They said that protein will help you feel full and it takes more energy to burn protein calories than fat or carbs so your body is working. I love that! Go Protein.

well, just got back from the dr. with jack. the school called and said that he was hit hard in the nose with a plastic bat in pe and he was in the office. i got in there and i was like oh my gosh! he was green! he was lying on the table in the nurses office and he had blood all over his clothes. poor guy. anyway, the nurse called the pediatrician's office and we got in right away. his nose isn't broken just heavily bruised. he is home now, hungry and lying down. he couldn't walk out of the school b/c he felt like he was going throw up so he got to be pushed outside in the wheel chair. major drama!

Friday! Whoo hoo!

Hi. It's Friday. Rick will be home this evening, Jack has a birthday party, Joe is home sick, he threw up this morning. :( Kate is going to a friends house. That is the run down for ya. Last night was nice at the ball park. Jack team got crushed and joe's team crushed their opponent. They actually called Joe's game with 25 min. still to play b/c they were winning 20-2. I guess, batting practice has really helped. Joe doesn't have a game until Monday night. Not sure how that happened but I'm not complaining. Jack did have a double in his game so that was good, they just couldn't quite get it together and they made several fielding errors. Anyway, life goes on and after his game he enjoyed a yummy chicken combo basket for dinner.

I was hoping to go flower shopping today but with Joe home and its going to storm today, I think I'll just hang out here and work some projects here. The weather is supposed to get pretty bad through out the day. I'm always up for a good thunder storm. House still looks pretty good so today, I can continue to keep up with it and maybe even make some serious progess. I have some plans for some projects around the house. Spring always does that to me, so many possibilities! Here is my list. Dad, you are more than welcome to forfeit your Japan trip and come here and help me. I know it isn't quite as exciting as Japan but hey, in Japan you can't fall out of the car and be at Randy's! haha.

make sunporch actually cute and paint floor ( got that idea from my co worker Theresa, Rick is not going to like that one but I've always wanted to do it and she does it and loves it so i'm doing it too!

cultivate the garden in the back yard. i have an area that i want to turn into a pretty garden, i tried last year but with the drought it was a no go so hopefully this year, it will work.

work on the garden area under the deck. want to make a flagstone patio and put ladis and picket fence up to make it very cottagey. that one is tough, we will need help with that and the flagstones will be expensive but think how cute it will be! rick's idea is to concrete the whole are under the deck and store his beautiful trailer for his four wheeler. ugh, no!!

Hi all! How are ya? Well, it is hot and humid here, good bye spring, hello summer. You know I love it! Had an awesome day at preschool. I had two kids there, yes two. Not sure where the other four were but let me just say, having two kids to paint with, walk with, eat snack and lunch with is pretty easy breezy. yes, i know last year was horrible and god is gave me a little gift today. We walked all around the outside of the church and found rollie pollies, flowers, and even crickets on the play ground. all the teachers came out and it was fun talking to everyone. It hasn't rained yet so maybe we'll get the games in tonight. I think we're just going to eat at the ball park. it is just easier!

Okay, so I need some help here. There is an online company that has asked me if they can carry some of my pieces in my ceramic line. I'm not sure what they want at this point but whatever it is, i have to be exclusive to them. The shop is precious. scripandscribble.com. They will probably be able to get my pieces out in front of people better than i can as they send out catalogs and have a really nice web site. My question is, should I do it? Should I be exclusive to them? Hmm. let me know what you think.

I delivered the beach canvas to the school, the framing turned out great! The girls at preschool loved it but they are so sweet and it is so safe for me to show them my things b/c they aren't going to tell me if it is bad, well, S might, I love that about her. I can tell if she doesn't like it or at least I think I can, like the time that bowl had the weird imperfection in it. uh huh, yep, I love honesty!

Okay, I'm off to get some ice water.

shoot, the clouds are totally moving in and i'm not happy about it! we can always do our schedule backwards today. go out early and do our inside stuff before lunch. ahhh! spring rains~

Thursday

Hi, You're not going to believe this but it is sunny sunny sunny here! Yes, lots of blue sky and its going to be beautiful today. Yippee! So, that means we get to play outside for a long time which is so awesome.

Not much happening here. Rick made it to Atlanta and is very excited about the people he gets to interview for his new team. The boys have baseball tonight, we'll be at the ball park from 5-9. sheesh, that's a long time. Anyway, I will get to see both games b/c joe's is at 5:30 and Jack's is at 7. I love that. I hate missing their games and if they have them at the same time, I'm running back and forth from game to game.

SAT's are going okay. Kate was sleepy this morning. I know its a lot for the kids to take these tests.

I guess that's about it. My house still looks pretty good, which i love! Have a fantabulous Thurs.:)

Hi. the boys will be home soon. Kate is going to a friends house and then they are going to church youth group so that saves me a trip. Jack has batting practice at 4 and then rick is headed to atlanta to prepare for interviewing people.

I cleaned all morning long. I know, I know, you don't believe me, but it is true! House looks pretty good but seriously, I could probably clean like that every day and it would never look perfect and thats okay b/c we live here and it would be impossible to keep beautiful. I would love to hire someone to come in about once a month to clean baseboards, light fixtures, dust everything even the corners of the six paneled doors. I don't need to them clean toilets or my counter tops in the kitchen or even my floors, I can do that, what I don't get to is that other stuff that really helps make a house sparkle.

Not much else is going on. it really warmed up. The humidity is back in the air, last summer with the drought we had so many dry days, thankfully, we are more on track with rain and we're all going to be sweating again. Air conditioning is going on and guess what, it is supposed to rain tomorrow! Of course it is, it's Thurs. haha

Busy Busy

Hi. Yes, my title says busy and its mostly stuff around the house. I'm firing two crosses, one of which is sold and one i want to sell. :) Also, Iam in the mood to go through my house with garbage bags and fill'em up to donate to hannah or salvation army. rick is crazy busy and excited about his new position. I got more details yesterday. He will be the speciality manger for the cardiovascular division at his company. Now, we get to learn all about the heart which will be exciting. he has to hire 10 new people so the next several weeks will be busy but good at the same time. I've been working on my beach scenes. I love painting them, the one I'm posting is being donated to the John Carroll Auction. I don't know if it will sell but I hope someone will love it and have a connection with the girls on the emerald coast. We'll see. anyway, I think its beautiful and I'm planning on doing a couple more. I think I need to practice painting the boys b/c I'd like to do one for my house but I love painting the girls dresses, bows, and hair. I will just have to step outside my comort zone and practice shorts and shirts. The boys will probably be easier anyway, that is the way it usually is with them. I think mother nature had her own april fools joke as it was rainy and gloomy most of the morning and now it is sunny and hot! yay! i love that. preschool was fine. we ended up getting the riding toys out and let the kids ride around on the pavement for about a half an hour. rick and i just got in from a 2miler. kate has dance tonight so i think i'll return the library books that are overdue and pay my fine and then check some more out. i love that about the library. ;)

Well, its beautiful here, nice and sunny and temp is around 75. HA April fools its so raining here, of course it is because its Tues! Ugh! Another day inside for us. So I guess the rain is good for our grass and newly budding trees and for all the pollen that is everywhere! my car is yellow. maybe it will get washed off. I will survive four hours at preschool, i will just think of all the good things the rain is doing.

Kate and Jack have testing today. Rick took them car pool. He is in a very good mood because we found out last night that he got the new job! Yay! They've renamed the new district the Bham district not Atlanta so that will all be in place for the next expansion and he won't have to go to Atlanta. He is very excited and this is great b/c its a step up and we don't have to uproot for it. That is the best of all!

Joe is still home today, Rick will be here with him. He is still feeling puney.
