I really have the sweetest friends! They are so supportive and I'm so blessed to have them. They've jumped at the chance to do a pottery party and I soooo appreciate their support. Here's a big shout out to my pals, buddies and friends! I love all of you, Thank you so much. :)
Hi everyone,

Just got in from the grocery store. We were out of eggs, milk, bread and other staples. The kids have really gotten into chocolate milk which is fine with me b/c they're drinking a lot more milk. Not Joe of course. He is my water kid. Had a good day at preschool. The fire truck came today and the kids loved it! So fun. We played outside for a long time and ended up dragging sand in to our room, it was everywhere. We did our calendars for Feb. I love all the pink and hearts that Feb. brings with it. So fun. rick came by preschool and took me to lunch which was so nice. I did pretty good with my points, I had a grilled chicken salad so I didn't do too badly. I didn't get into the goodies at school either and there were plenty to get in to there. yummy. Jack is staying after to go to the homework club and Kate is staying after to work out in the exercise room for track. Joe is home now, so I'm going to sign off.

Hi everyone. Had to take kate to the ortho this morning to have a bracket put back on . She wins the prize for losing the most brackets in the history of braces. It turned out that Dr. B. just left the bracket off b/c her teeth are lined up fine and she is almost done with the braces. Yay! Thank goodness. Not much else is going on . I just emailed several on line baby shops and directed them to my sensational ceramics site hoping they might be interested in purchasing my baby bites pieces. I don't know. I'm just trying to get out there and I feel like my pieces are so cute that I want them to be seen! Ahhhhh! Maybe it will pay off eventually.

It is chilly today but its sunny so that is nice. I'm hoping to get a walk in b/c I think the fresh air will do me good. We don't have anything planned tonight so that is great!

Love to all of you.:)

ps

I wonder who visits me from kewanee, Il? Must be someone I know but I can't think who it would be. Anyway, "Hi" my friend in Kewanee. :)
hello. well, we survived the evening and all is well. i saw a neighbor at the library tonight. i take the boys there on tues evenings while kate is at dance. anyway, jodi and i were talking about the meetings coming up in hoover that are most likely going to be about rezoning. once the board and everyone starts talking about rezoning, everyone gets all crazy. tonight was one of those nights that i wished we lived in trace crossings! i text rick and asked if we could move and he said no. bummer. i know now is not a good time to move, the market isn't good, home values aren't at their greatest and really we don't have time to move but still! anyway, i wish i could just pick my house and yard up and move it into trace crossings and still have joe go to his school but if we get rezoned to trace crossings then we'd be set. oh dear, its all crazy. it is raining now which is wonderful, james spann said that our rains this winter will definitely ease our drought. it was 70 degrees today and it felt good! i'm ready to wash my face and to crawl into bed. night.:)

Fun Day At School

Hi. Well, all of us teachers had the same idea this morning concerning the rain. We all went out on the play ground at 9:3o so we could get our outside time in. We haven't been outside for almost 3 weeks. Everyone was in a good mood today, you know why? I'll tell you, because Janurary is almost over thats why! Anyway, I did good today with keeping in my points. I at breakfast here at home and then I took two small tangelos to work with me which are a point each. I stayed out of the animal crackers and gold fish, that is where points add up real fast. I did come home very hungry so I think I'm up to 13 points but thats okay, I'm not tired and I'm full now. I'm picking the kids up car pool today b/c Kate is going to visit her friend who had nose surgery and then we are going to wal mart to buy a styrofome ball for Jack to do his cell project and Kate needs some type of clear cover things for one of her projects. Kate has dance tonight so that means we'll be hanging out at the library for a little while. Rick has a dinner meeting and I'm going to miss the Hoover meeting. Shoot.

Tuesday

Hi! Well, I think its going to rain today, of course it is, its Tues. lol. Oh well. Maybe just maybe it will hold off until noon or maybe we can switch our morning around and go outside early b/c it isn't cold which is fantabulous! I love that.

Not too much to write about. Kids are all off to school and I even packed all their lunches. Go me! I did good counting my points, I think i used all of them and that includes my little credit for my exercising. We'll see how today goes at school. There is always something to get into there.

Have a wonderful day.

am loving this piece!!

this piece reminds me of kate's birth announcemenet.

Alright so today I started counting my points for weight watchers. I know, i know, I don't have weight to lose, blah, blah , blah, I don't hear you mommy dearest! lol. Okay, just 5lbs, thats all and really just to get my eating back in check b/c I've really enjoyed lots of yummy things since Christmas. I haven't said no to very much and I need to other wise, I will be very sad. Soo, I pulled out my handy dandy WW point book and I know how many points I'm supposed to have and wow, they sure do add up fast. I can see how we all gain weight. Ugh! Annoying! Anyway, I don't know how long I'll count for but at least it keeps me in check and I can't eat a half a bag of pretzles b/c 15 is 2 points. Okay, that is all I wanted to tell you. I'm sort of bored at the moment. I'm going to make the boys dinner and then pick up Kate at 6. Who knows what I'll eat, I think I have 8 points to go. An avocado is 8 points, I don't think I want to blow all 8 on that even though, I do love me some avocado. :) no wine at all as one glass is 3pts so that will be saved for the weekend only. i wonder how many points this triple decker waffle ice cream cone has in it?

new baby bites pottery

i don't usually like to mix my blogs up but i wanted to share this piece with you. i think it is so fun. i love it. i think it would make a really cute condiment dish at a get together or even for tacos or something.

Yoga

I actually did my own yoga program that lasted for more than 10 min. I found this music on my play list and it is a yoga meditation music program that goes for an hour which is nice b/c i can just turn my blog on, minimize it and then do my yoga. it was great! I think it is hard to do your own thing with yoga at least it is for me b/c I usually get all side tracked and then I forget poses and its all crazy but this morning I actually did it. Yay me! I think I'll take Ral for a walk, I can't actually say that out loud yet b/c i'm not ready to go and if he hears that word he goes ballistic. It is so beautiful outside today. I love it! I think its supposed to rain tomorrow but today it is nice. I just bid on 4 large bella luna southern living at home glasses. I'm trying to get the large and the small 12 of each so I will have matching glasses and not a hodge podge glass filled cabinet. I will believe it when i see it.
I know this is sort of random and I really don't think about our grass that much but this morning I took Ralph outside and part of our yard was still frosty and I was thinking that our grass looks like frosted mini wheat cereal. Haha, okay, I know, I'm a total dork but I know you love me.:)

Monday Morning

Hello, once again another Monday is here and all is well. Tonight is Kate's last night to perform for the Bumpus Bucs. I took her to school b/c her dance bag is so big and the bus driver gets mad that it takes up so much room. Not sure if that is Kate just being a bit dramatic but I know she has a grouchy bus driver. I am going to hopefully continue with my same old same old here. Hopefully, I'll get some yoga in today and maybe even a walk. It is going to be a nice day. Rick has meetings here in town all week so he won't be home for dinner. I love that b/c I can make mac and cheese and everyone is happy. :)

Okay, I seem to have a frequent visitor from Houston. We don't know anyone there so I'm not sure who it is but I'd love it if you would say hi. My sister has a friend there but when she visits her blog her own blog address is on there so I don't think its them. Hmm, a mystery visitor. Please reveal yourself. :)

Have a wonderful morning.

Hi

Hi. It's Sunday evening and I'm tying up loose ends before we all head back to our usual weekly activities. Open house was fine today. I always love seeing my coworkers and I had one of my two's come in and say hi. I love her family and she is precious. I picked Kate and her friend up from the Galleria after open house and took Hannah home and then Kate and I headed home. Rick was washing his four wheeler as I think its pretty much retired for the season. He and Jack got in a round of catch and Joe came home from Sam's. He had a great time hanging out wiht his buddy , Sam and now its time to finish the laundry and the dishes and sort of retire for the evening. Rick has a district meeting here in B'ham this week and Rick and I have to go to the Hoover Freshman building for a tour and an informational meeting. I really open this isn't a screen for a pto meeting. blah blah blah. Not that I don't love supporting our schools, I do, its just that I don't love sitting through one of those meetings. Anyway, you know, I'll let you know what the freshman building is like. Can't believe its time for this! Jack should be touring Bumpus soon too. Wow! And Joe will be upstairs next year at his school. Okay, I can't take any more! Good night.

Sunny Sunday

Hi everyone! I have to say that it is so nice to sleep in a little bit on Sunday. Because our kids don't go to the Catholic school, our religious education is during and following the 8:30am mass. We are usually very good about going but today is openhouse which is after the 11am mass so I just chose to go to 11. Joe is going to church with Sam and I'll pick up Kate and Rick and Jack can drive in Rick's car b/c I'll stay for open house. I always look forward to seeing my "girls" at play school. I love all of them and we are such a fun group. I hope some of my little two's pop in and say hi. Open house is usually for next years crop of precious gifts but ocassionaly, my class comes in to see me. I love that! Let's see. Not much else is really going on. I hope you enjoyed viewing my pictures of Nevis. I loved being on Nevis. I can't believe its been almost four years since Rick and I were there. It is really such a beautiful secluded place. They have one grocery type store, nothing like what we're used to here. Everyone knows everyone and they are all so friendly. I loved seeing the rain forest and the green monkeys. We saw several varieties of fruit trees and old sugar plantations. someday, when our life is calmer and we have extra money to spend, we'll go back. It is kind of far but well worth the experience. I was actually sad to leave and I'm usually so ready to get home to the kids. I could have stayed another week!

I fired a new piece of baby bites pottery. it is precious and i'll get it up on the pottery blog some time later today. i have several mugs to go in the kiln later and i'm working on two new baby bite designs. i really need to put an order in for glaze! i'm low on my fav. colors.

I wish you many blessing today, all green lights, the sun shining, an extra twenty dollars in your pocket, and peace in your heart.

Where I should be in January!

Nevis Island, West Indies! Preferably the Four Seasons Resort.

Saturday

Hi. Well, I am officially just fat! Yes, I had rice crispy treats for lunch and for dinner I had a cupcake and ice cream that I bought for jack's birthday. yep, just call me fatty fatty. Oh well, thank goodness tomorrow is another day. Joe survived the baseball evals. Our boys never do well at baseball evals. I mean first of all it is freakin January and by now, you all know how I feel about that. We haven't been practicing baseball for like 8 mo b/c joe didn't play in the fall. Anyway, Rick said he was doing really well in the cages but when it was his turn to get up and hit, he missed all of the pitches. all of them, there were four. he rarely missed the ball last spring, then it was time for the timed sprint and this is joe's strong point, he is fast like rick but joe's shoe wasn't tied tight and it was sort of falling off and he didn't want to lose his shoe so he didn't run as fast as he could. One last test was fielding. Rick said he did fine at that, thank goodness. Every year, Rick calls me and whether its jack or joe, its always the same. He says, they are so much better than these evals. Oh well, at least the coaches know us and the boys and they know that they're better than their january evals and at least they're great kids so people enjoy having them on their team.

I took kate to her friends house, she wasn't sure what they were doing, they had five things they might tonight. Joe is spending the night with his friend, Sam and he will go to church with them tomorrow. He should be going to sunday school at our church simply because he is preparing for first communion but this one time won't hurt. Jack and Rick are out birthday shopping for Jack. Not sure what they're going to come up with. I know he got two new pairs of tennis shoes, I don't think those count as birthday though. Tomorrow I have open house at the preschool. I guess thats about it. It is supposed to be warmer tomorrow, maybe in the 60s. I was so sleepy and chilled this afternoon, i curled up on my bed with a huge blanket and took a little nap. Jack was sleeping down in the basement, rick was hunting and ral and i were snoozing upstairs. It was wonderful!

Baseball!

Hi. Can you even believe we are talking about baseball already? We haven't even had the superbowl yet. Rick & Joe are on their way to the ball park for baseball evaluations. Hope Joe does good, not that it really matters. The teams will be drafted next weekend and then we'll know who the boys' coaches are and most importantly, who is on our teams! We didn't do much last night. I ended up going over to my neighbors to help her celebrate 8 weeks of being smoke free! Yay Donna, we are proud of you. It was fun and Ralph loved being there too. He pulled all the toys out of the basket. Kate is babysitting up the street. i picked her up early, Jack is still at his sleep over party and I think tonight we will have his family birthday party. Whoo hoo, cake and ice cream!

Friday, January 25, 2008

Well its Friday and its cold!! Brrr. Anyway, I'm not going to have the winter blues today b/c I'm going to lunch with my friend, Jill and we are going to talk about our trip to Nashville. We are also going to the art store to pick up some supplies that I need and maybe we'll even have time to pop into a couple of fun antique shops. Jack has an overnight birthday party tonight for his friend, Tanner, they share a birthday . Kate has a birthday party tonight so I think it might just be Joe home tonight. I guess that is about it. I really should try to get in a little work out so I can indulge a little at lunch. Have a wonderful Friday!

Happy 11th Birthday John Alan!!

Well, we can't believe you are 11 years old! Wow. This time 11 years ago we were just so excited to have a baby boy!! We are still as excited as we were then. You are so funny and smart, you're always amazing us. We love you so much Jack! Happy Birthday Day! * clicking on the pic will make it bigger.

Math Night

Well we managed another math night. The boys and I got there really early b/c we were finished eating a half an hour before it was supposed to start. We did get Joe's spelling done though at dinner which was good. Rick met us at school and then he took the boys home and I picked up Kate from the game at her school. Crazy crazy. It isn't even eight yet and I feel like it should be midnight. This is what January does to me and I just hate it! I'm ready to put my jammies on and hop into bed. night.

Made My Apt! Can't Wait!

I made my spa apt. and I actually split it up over two times so that will be very fun. I'll probably use the nail apt before we go to the beach. I'm very excited for my facial and massage. Ahh! It has been almost 3 years since I've had either, that is way too long. Why do I not schedule these more often?

Sun is out!

Hello,

Well, the sun came out half way through the morning so we sort of switched things around a little bit and took the kids out later and had lunch at the very end. We really had to get out and it was chilly but tolerable. January is always tough but we're almost through it and tomorrow is Jack's birthday. Can't believe he is almost 11 years old. Wow, it seems like yesterday that he was so little. Our little glo worm. He was jaundice and he had to have the billy light wrapped around him. I was so sad about that. Rick took his picture and I told him that I would never look at it b/c I didn't want to remember him like that. :( Anyway, he has homework club til four so I guess I'll pick him up and then we'll go maybe to Sanpeggios for dinner b/c math night starts at five and then I have to get kate at 6 and maybe we can even get joe's spelling done while we're waiting on our pizza. I'm trying to multi task and get homework out of the way! rick text me earlier and said he is going to be home tonight b/c it is raining and he won't be able to hunt anyway. Good, we like it when he's home. That's about it. I'm going to make my spa apt. I need it!

Thurs

Another gloomy January day. Doesn't that sound like something Eyeore would say? Anyway, its true. Looks like we'll be inside again at playschool, but I do have some things planned so that will help our morning to go by quickly. Rick is on an overnight, Jack has homework club and Kate has to perform tonight and then we have math night (which I hate) and then I am going to a southern living at home party up the street. Not sure if I will actually make the party. We also have reading, homework and spelling tests to study for. Anyway, tomorrow is Friday and that is always fun and its Jack's birthday. Have a great day. Maybe I'll have something exciting to write about later.

Lucy's twin

My sister, Jayne has this pefectly, lovely, how should I say bitchy kitty named Lucy and I think I found her twin on dlisted. lol. Oh LuLu we love you.

Bermuda Grass Drives me Crazy!

Hello Friends, Yes, I'm writing about Bermuda grass. My friends up north probably don't know this grass as it is mostly a hot weather grass. It does very well in the summer and turns awful brown in the winter, it resembles hay in the winter. It sheds too. It starts shedding about now and with the boys rolling around outside playing football, I no doubt have Bermuda sheddings everywhere!! My vacuum will not be put away until the grass comes out of its dormant state. Here is a little information on this grass, I'm sure you are all excited to read about it and I bet you are jealous that you don't have bermuda grass sheddings all over your house that is of course if you don't live here.

Bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon) is the most important lawn grass of the Sun Belt. It has all the essential characteristics a lawn needs for those regions—heat and drought tolerance primarily. The very aggressiveness of Bermuda is also it's key disadvantage. When creeping Bermuda invades flower beds and ground cover, it's called "devil grass" by frustrated gardeners. Bermuda grass is tough and fast growing enough to be one of the most popular grasses for sports fields. It's good for pet owners for the same reasons: damage from whatever cause will repair quickly. Bermuda tolerates little shade and will thin quickly in shade; and it becomes dormant and brown through cool seasons. There are many varieties of Bermuda grass. Common Bermuda or "Arizona common

New Glassware

Hi. I'm going to a southern living at home party tomorrow evening at my neighbors and I'm excited to order several more of the Bella Luna glass ware. I love it!!

Hi

Hi guys,

Well, I just remembered that we have a staff meeting at 8:15. I will not make it there in time. Wednesday mornings are not geared toward leaving the house early. I hope my lovely coworkers will fill me in on what is said.

Kids are off to school albeit, Joe struggled with getting up this moring. I tell ya, these gloomy January mornings or days for that matter are for the birds. Blah! Hate them. We've had lots of rain so its soggy outside which again is great for our drought conditions but not great for sagging spirits in the winter.

Today, I'm painting some new designs for ceramic celebrations. I'm excited about some new pieces I'm going to do. Also, I need to get going on folding the laundry as I never did it the other day. Sadly, we are living out of laundry baskets, I really hate doing that.

I wish you many blessing today, along with a happy heart.

Lazy Day at Preschool

Hello, Just got home from preschool and wow was it a gloomy January lazy day. Typical January, we had several kids out in each two's room so we just opened the door and shared kids. We were like little hungry caterpillars, eating our way through the morning. I think I ate all my calories for the day between 10 and 11am. I did get to see my friend and fellow blogging buddy, Valerie. I had fun opening the connecting door saying Hi. Kate has to dance tonight at the game and I need to get going on folding all the laundry I washed and dried yesterday. I'm hoping to get some kind of work out in before bed tonight.

We can all use protection from above :)

Prayer for Protection
The Light of God surrounds me;The Love of God enfolds me;The Power of God protects me;The Presence of God watches over me;Wherever I am, God is,And all is well.

Hi guys, well it is feeling like a Monday even though it is really Tues. I would really love to crawl back in bed today, it is chilly, and rainy outside. Yawn. Anyway, I can't do that so I'm sucking it up and getting ready for preschool. Looks like we'll be inside all day b/c of the rain. That is sad. Oh well, it is January and the rain is great for our parched state. I have to take Kate's dance team bag to school on my way to work b/c her grouchy bus driver gets mad at her when she has it on the bus. Seriously, I don't understand. Her bag is for a school function so I think she should be able to take it there w/o being harassed. What if I couldn't run by school and drop it off. Ugh! It makes me a little mad. Oh well, we are doing community helpers at preschool this week. I like this week about as much as I like going to the dentist. I just think its kind of boring. I think I'm just a little grouchy so I will say good bye now. I hope its sunny where you are today.

Almost bed time

Hello, well it is almost 8:00pm and I swear it feels like it should be midnight. I'm ready to wash my face and put my jammies on. We've had a great day, lots of friends in and out and now its time for bed. Jack sent out several evites for a super bowl party. Hmm, I'm wondering if this could double as a birthday party. :) Maybe. I will have to think about that. He won't be here for his birthday b/c his friend, Tanner has the same birthday and Tanner is having his party at his lake house on Friday night. They are going to do a bon fire and marshmallows. Yummy. Anyway, we are all back to school tomorrow. The preschool bulletine board thing is done, now we just have to take lots of pics of the kids. Thank goodness for digital pics and 10 min. processing at the Hoover Walgreens. Love Walgreens. I'll save my love for Walgreens for another posting. :) Anyway, Lots of love to all of you! Sleep tight. Nighty Night and Karyn, post the pics!

Holiday

Well, we've had a nice day off today. The boys have played football all day in the front yard and they've had a great time. Kate came home from her friends about an hour ago and thought she was going to another movie this evening but I nipped that one in the bud. It's a school night! Joe's buddy is going home soon, we've enjoyed having him here, he is so sweet and I know they've had fun. Kate and I are going out to walk/run soon so we can get a little heart pumping workout in before dinner. Rick has been working today trying to get his team off to a good start this new year. Sun is shining but its chilly.

A Doe a Deer, A Female Deer!

Jack's pictures from his hunt on Sunday. Isn't he just the cutest?

Successful Day for Jack!

Jack just called and he got himself a nice doe. He said he did everything by himself, Rick didn't even see the deer. I'm excited to see the pictures when they get home.

Tonight is supposed to be the amazing race finale. I need to see if it is still on b/c of football.

Kate is off to the movies, thankfully, she is spending the night. I'm sleepy so after I take her, I'm washing my face, doing my beauty treatments and then snuggling in bed.

Sunday Afternoon

Hi. Well, things are a little calmer than they were this morning. Joe enjoyed Sunday school, he always does. rick and jack are in Prattville hunting, Kate has just sort of lounged around today, she is going to a movie with a couple of friends this evening. I hope she is spending the night so I don't have to go get her late. Joe and I went to pick up his buddy Sam. He is going to spend the night. I just love Sam, he is just so darn cute and he and Joe are two peas in a pod. I just got my walk/run in, I'm doing good this weekend and I made the zero pointe veggie soup and it has been so yummy today especially with it being chilly outside. Thats about it. Hope you're having a great day and tomorrow we can all sleep in. YAY!!

Check out my Slide Show!

Wintery Pictures From Me to You ;)

The fun thing about having a blog is that its perfectly okay to just go around and take pictures of things. I love that! These are some fun things around my house that I love and the ice frozen in time on the gutter is a rare site here on Woodlands Way.

Seriously!????

Here are the angels for the board at preschool. Its not finished yet but it will be by Tues.

Okay, so I'm home from church already b/c I couldn't find my keys soooo that put me 15 min. late which I hate. I ended up taking Joe to his Sunday school b/c he is preparing for first communion and his class is longer than Kate and Jack's. I ended up finding my keys in Rick's car underneath the passenger seat. What in the world? Who knows. Anyway, I visited my friends in the nursery hall and showed Trisha the pics of the angels for the board and now I'm home. I will take Kate and Jack back to church at 5 tonight. Oh wait, not Jack, he and Rick are going hunting near Prattville. Oh whatever! Who knows when we'll make it to church.

Church

Okay, I hate this part of Sunday morning. No one is popping up out of bed to go to church. Ugh! I'm giving them 10 more min. to sleep and then its show time. I think its chilly outside, haven't been out there yet but I'm chilly in here. Have a wonderful morning. I was looking at the journal star this morning, you know checking my usual and i noticed it is -4 in Peoria. Now, that is burries!

Love this sign!

Hi I think I might order this sign for my dining room. I bought the cottage sign for my bedroom/bath but I just love them!

What Party Do You Belong To?

Hi, I have been thinking about the upcoming election and I'm trying to educate myself on the candidates and their basic views. I found the web site selectsmart.com. There is a basic quiz you can take that will tell you based on your answers to the questions which party you favor. They're pretty good questions, ones we hear about a lot but they're important too. Some I feel strongly about, others, I'm not so sure. After skipping a couple of pages to sign up for free offers, your results will be there. Can you guess what party I belong to?. This might actually be more interesting than I thought.

All Gone

Well, It's over, our winter storm has moved on and all the snow is gone. I think I can handle this once a year. The kids sure had fun, I woke Joe up around 11 so he wouldn't miss it. Jack and his buddies had a great time and I think they even got in a little trouble from "Old Lady Jenkins up the street" Jack mentioned something about a snowball going a little out of control and something about a window, she didn't call so i'm not calling her. Hmm, You know, I'm not worrying about it b/c we never have snow here so get over it! Rick is out hunting, he was pretty excited about the deer today, okay when is he not excited about deer but with the snow and such he thought they'd be up moving. who knows, like we need another deer, even though he does donate the meat, that is a good thing. Kate has reminded me of a party she is going to tonight. I forgot. when isn't there a party? lol I'm going to just stay in and maybe scrap book my Christmas pictures. I did last years on the way home this year but it sort of made me sick to do it in the car so I didn't finish this years. I just came in from a 2miler outside and I did 1 mile on the elliptical. I sort of like that routine. Maybe I'll even do yoga later. I've been so hungry this week, I actually have lots of energy b/c I've eaten lots! That has got to stop. I could never be anorexic!!

Snow at our house

Ralph showing off his new middle part, he just wasn't too sure about the snow being at our house, its okay if its aunt Mo's house.

our front yard

It's Snowing!

Well, Jack and his friend are already up the street playing football in the snow! They are so excited, Jack thinks it is like playing football on lambeau field in green bay. Joe is still sleeping. He's my sleeper. I think they were up late playing video games. Kate had fun with her friends and Rick made it home safe and sound. It is nice having him home. We aren't doing much of anything today, just taking the day to sort of snuggle under warm blankies.

It might really happen

I actually sat down and watched the local news this evening while I was waiting for Kate and Maddie to get ready and James Spann really made it sound like snow is going to happen here tomorrow. He actually said 1-4" north of birmingham and 3-6" south of birmingham to clanton and then 1-4" near montgomery. Wow, we'll see. Its funny, b/c when you ask someone if they think it will really snow, they're like, I'll believe it when I see it. I love that they are really wanting it to happen. Growing up in Illinois, it was always just a given that we'd get snow, this is kind of fun, the kids all really want it.

Rick's Valentine Gift To Me

Hi. Well, my friend, Jill called today and she had an idea for our annual "our husbands hunted their asses off trip" We are going to Nashville over valentines weekend. There is the Nashville antique market and the music market. I've very excited b/c I've never actually hung out in Nashville. I've driven through it many many times but this time I can actually do some fun things while I'm there. I love having friends like Jill b/c she has this huge folder of magazine clippings of things to do in Nashville. Yay!! Maybe I'll get to hear an up an coming country star or maybe I'll run in to KC or Tim and Faith. lol.
We've lived in Hoover for almost 5 years and I've never actually been to Nashville and we are only a little less than 3 hours away. Our last trip was Atlanta and the antique show there. Lots of fun!
